If the weather cooperates the first tow is scheduled for Saturday. Plane has been modified according to fellow RC Groupers experiences.
UPDATE:
Well it flies! Two tows with only some minor trim changes needed. Next stop will be the slopes of South Dakota.

After flying my Cularis for over a year I decided it was time to add some color to the top of the plane. Last fall I had painted the bottom of the wings and horizontal stabilizer flat black which improved the visibility some what. Encouraged by the ease of painting my EZ Glider I went to Walmart and purchased a can of Krylon Pumpkin Orange for $3.34. I taped off the radio compartment and a few other protrusions. Next I wiped the surfaces off with rubbing alcohol and over a period of an hour sprayed three coats of paint on the plane. I'm looking forward to flying the plane and seeing the improvement in the air if any.
April 23 flight Report: Definite improvement in visibility. Flying buddies are shaking their heads however.........

Here are a couple of photos taken by my son Matt this morning. Dead calm conditions, perfect for my Slo Stik Flying Boat. It's powered by a E-Flyte Park 370 inrunner in the GWS gearbox. Battery is a 3S.
This was my first aerotow experience. My Waco troop glider was towed aloft by fellow club member Fred Stiteler's (aka "Electric Fred") 1000 watt Multiplex Magister. Fred's tow plane has PLENTY of power. It was a lot of fun.
SkyKing Ka-6's in 2M and 3M sizes. Scratched Schweizer 1-26 using a SkyKing DAW 1-26 as the start. (All EPP)
Flying buddy Greg Johnson can't get the smile off his face! A week in Salt Lake for Soar Utah 2008. The first day of the event was aero towing on a dry lake bed.
Here are three pictures from a October 2008 trip to Cape Cod. Pictured is my trusty Bowman Super Scooter and Richter Weasel. Both great flyers!
Flew to Boston from Minneapolis with the models in a Sport Tube. Stayed at the Seascape, but the wind never permitted flying from there. No problem as the dunes on the Atlantic side provided several sites to fly from.

This is an EZ Glider I got at a swap meet for $40. Nothing special but I did experiment with the finish. The plane was sanded with a 3M Very Fine sanding pad, then wiped with alcohol and lacquer thinner. Paint is Krylon indoor/outdoor. Priced at $3.34 a can at the local Walmart. Bottom of the wing and stab tips are painted with two coats of dark blue acrylic craft paint-also Walmart. Applied with a 3" craft roller.......you guessed it! Walmart supplied as well.
Some of my planes.
My 07 Focus wagon with a 4x6 trailer (400 lbs) and a Sears cargo box. Good for 25mpg LOADED with planes and two slope pilots. Official co-pilot and crewchief for the Slopemobile is Greg Johnson. Longest trip so far is Soar Utah 08. Next stop LEG Fest 09.
