I had finally gotten around to doing something about all my chargers laying all around the workshop and getting in the way when not in use.
I thought about making a "charging board" that would keep them all in one area but still ran into the problem of it taking up table space when not in use.
There was also the comment made about being a fire hazard.
While it was most likely said tongue in cheek, the more I thought about it I found myself agreeing with the poster.
That being the case, I have decided to redo it once again and put everything into a drawer that can be pulled out when in use and closed when not.
I addressed the possible fire hazard by installing a few clay pots for the batteries to sit in when being charged.
As an alternative, I also have a few LIPO sacks that can be used as well.

Got tried of having chargers all over my work space and mounted them all to a piece of plywood with Velcro. Power supply is mounted to the back. Can charge up to 18 batteries all at the same time.

2 Electrifly Polycharge 4's ( one set with balancers, one set without )
1 Hobico Quick Field Charger MKII
1 FMA CellPro Multi 4
1 FMA CellPro 4S Rev-olution
1 icharger 106B with a 6 way charging board

Also has a place for my cell checker, a DVM, and a watts up meter and a power panel with switches so I can turn on or off each charger.

It now takes up a fairly small space and is mobile if need be.

Have this printed out from my Phaltprinter for some time and decided to put it together for a friend thats new into RC. Another flyer thought it would be too tricky for him to be able to fly. I decided to find out.
Turns out this little bird is as tame as a kitten once I realized that I had it way over powered and cut the power back.
I had put the smallest motor I had that would fit the mount but its still way over powered. It will take off and fly rather well at 1/4 throttle.

Had a 200% fan fold foam F22 that I have had for about a year now. its my fun plane as its a real floater yet had a bit of speed when needed. I was running a Hobby city 1200 kv motor on it with a 30 amp ESC and a 9x4.7 prop. On 3 cells it flew great with the ESC and motor only slightly warm. I decided to try it on 4 cells but didn't change anything else. It seemed to fly fine for a bit and then during one 5-10 sec WOT I saw a small puff and then the plane just floated down with no inputs able to be seen.
As I was walking to retrieve it, I noticed that it was starting to smoke a bit. This turned into allot of smoke and my first thought was the 4 cell was toasting itself. As I got closer the plane started to burn. By the time I was able to get to it, it had burned a fairly large hole in the electronics area and fried the wiring to everything but the battery. That seemed to come though with nothing more than a few scorch marks. The motor seemed to be ok and the glow wire was alright as well other than the wires being melted and the controller having the wires melted. Spektrum AR6100 Receiver was melted but I removed the case, soldered back the wires and its works as before.The ESC however was toast. it was completely burned up.
I was able to save the motor, battery, glow wire, glow wire controller and all servos. The plane along with the ESC were destroyed. I took a few photos before I striped out what was left of it.

Point of the story is, IF you are going to try a bigger battery, make sure you take into consideration that you DO have to take prop size into the equation.
Had I done so and ran a smaller prop. I would most likely still have the plane intact.

Here's both a stock Easy Star and one that is moded out a bit. Both fly well with the brushless able to go vert.

MK 2 crash and repair. Did 6 flights where she flew great after trimming.
Flight 7 was going good until I made the mistake of flying inverted too close to the ground with a 7-12 knot wind. Wind gust slapped her to the ground.

First two photo's are of her with crash damage. Did a good job of busting her up. Last two photos are 15 min's and some hot glue later.

Flight 8 and 9 have gone off without a hitch. She's rough looking but still flies well.

You never know how many planes you have till you pull them all out.

And as it turns out, I missed a few. This also don't count the ones that are still in the box waiting to be built.

Here is the replacement bird for the 1st FFF F22. I still make the same building error in forgetting to make sure the fuse was 90 degrees. Oh, well. It's not that far off
