Here I'll add some stuff about the Mustang I'm currently building.
V-Diamond
Here I'll add info about my V-Diamond.
This is the equipment and specs.
- Motor: KDA20-26M, KV = 1130 RPM/V; operating current = 4A - 13A; peak current = 15A (15s), mass = 43g, does not even get warm
- ESC: 10A OEMRC
- Prop: GWS 11x4.7
- Battery: FlightPower LiPo 7.4V, 800mAh (2C fast charge, 18C continuous discharge, 43g)
- Servos: 2 x HXT500 for ailerons, HXT900 for elevator, HXT900 for rudder
- Receiver: GWS Pico on channel 60
- Wingspan: 60.5cm
- Wing area: 0.129m^2
- Wing loading: 2kg/m^2
- Mass: 216g (airplane) + 43g (battery) = 259g (yes, all my airplanes are heavier than the specs...)
Tiger 2
This is the equipment and specs:
- Engine: O.S. 0.46FX 2-stroke engine
- Prop: APC 11x8
- Servos: 4x Hitec HS-300
- Receiver: Futaba, 8-channel standard 72-MHz receiver on channel 55
- Wingspan: 155 cm
- Length: 137 cm
- Wing area: 0.44 m^2
- Wing loading: 5.4 kg/m^2 aprox
- Mass: 2380 g

This is the equipment and specs:
- Motor: KD A22-15M from HobbyCity (Kv = 1050RPM/V, 6A-16A, 20A peak (15sec))
- ESC: 18-A OEM RC for brushless motors
- Battery: TP 3S1P 2Ah Li-Po battery
- Prop: APC 9x3.8
- Servos: Hitec HS-55 for elevator and nose gear, and HXT900 for rudder
- Receiver: Hitec, 8-channel standard 72-MHz receiver on channel 60.
- Wingspan: 99cm
- Length: 78.8 cm
- Wing area: 0.1855 m^2
- Wing loading: 4.1 kg/m^2
- Mass: 760g. Yes, the airplane is quite heavy. I expected it to be 500g or so... Too beefy I guess. Too much spruce, 1/16" balsa covering on wings and fuselage sides, large battery, large receiver, thick pushrods, etc. Solid, but heavy.
- Simple static propulsion test: about 15A, 160W, 8400 rpm.

Performance metrics:
- KD A22-20L brushless motor (85g, kV=1000 rpm/V, 6A-21A (25A burst))
- APC propeller (9x6) and spinner
- Castle Creations Phoenix 25
- Thunder Power 2Ah Li-Po battery, 10C-12C
- Hitec 8-channel 72-MHz receiver on channel 60, with replaced antenna (same as stock antenna)
- 2x HXT900 servo (flaperons)
- HXT900 servo (elevator)
- Eflite servo (rudder)
- Hitec Optic 6 computer radio with Spectra module
Throws:
- Ailerons: +/- mm, 35% exponential, measured at the extensions
- Elevator: +/- mm, 35% exponential
- Rudder: +/- mm, 20% exponential
Performance metrics:
- Static current, full throttle: 22A
- Static RPM, full throttle:8000
- Flight duration: >13min, <20min
