Hi

I've used neat acrylic paint (brushed on) the odd area needed two coats but on the whole it covered very well

it's dark purple not black. it dried darker than expected but looks ok. i'm going to order some white adhesive piping to seperate the green and purple too

the battery hatch shuts with a solid clunk due to the 5mm magnets

i'ts foggy here at the moment so the first flight will have to waite

Hi

bit more progress..

I've made the elevons up from layers of balsa. a soft 6mm bottom sheet a triangular hard balsa middle section and 3mm soft top sheet with the grain running in the opposite direction to the 6mm. they are very light and stiff

I've glued on the nose. shaped the battery hatch and fitted the elevons

got to add some colour and sort out a last couple of bits before flying
