Interesting note if one Googles Rollingball, I am the 20th hit in the list. "Rollingball's Blog".
Anyway a quick recap of what is going on:
First I started in helis with a TH email offer for a AXE CP heli, This started the heli crack fever. Time frame was about a year ago (2007) It was an OK bird but I did not progress much with it. Sadly I departed it.
Continued the hobby with a HeliMax MX450XS , then a HoneyBee King V2, and it goes on with a HeliDirect HDX500SE with a V2 head, now it gets better with a Century Hawk (Nitro) build in progress, and finally an ARK X-500.
My future bird is a QuickHeli BAT 90 or a Century of the same size.
Also I have two winter time house flyers a Walkera 5#5 and a ESKY LAMA V3 with all the Xtreme bits.
Doing things a little backwards but that is ok, I finally broke down a purchased a (what is new today) MacBook Pro and RF 4.0.
Now I can crash and hit the reset instead of hitting the CC purchase - I need crash parts button
Also I can now use my CL hardware for all of my ESCs, RXs and BECs since the newest firmware makes the software and hardware impossible to use under Virtual PC for Mac.. At one time I was able to use CL before the update. No longer true today, so now I can kill two birds with one stone.
Have the use of CL and RF under a Windows XP environment and still have my native Mac OS environment.
Of course I have my own thread on the MX450XS , it is more like a roundtable discussion on any heli and any subject.
