well, Bill and I sorted out the confusion. I was pretty close, but there seems to be some factor i need to sort out- maybee--- about these gorgeous to look at elliptical shapes--
think I have a motor to mount on a Miss Stick for now- then an aileroned Crimson wing to draw/build
Thanks to Don Stackhouse @ DJ AeroTech, I now fully understand how to properly bludgeon a " poor lil renolds' number!" I will be posting of the math issue, as I now know how I goofed on the main wing incidence setup!
go down a few spots on my blog, it's right there, as plain as day!.
The 2-3 Meter Hobby Lobby High start has lots of snort! at this point, I can't quite agree with claim of stretching it 5-6 X length! That will take more muscles than this wimp!
Mr Kite's 'chute still blossoms perfectly!
Now to sort out the poor math for an eliptical wing, I think I know what I did, just need to confirm it!
The wife and I had the Family over for dinner today, which was a perfect setup for the True Maiden flight. I have rebuilt the Canard bell crank, using a slotted drive, and fixed point of rotation instead of the previous idler arm for the 2 radi- (bell crank and Canard actuation).
Well, finally, I got the finals-just need to move the adjustable towhook, and bump in a few turns of "down" into the linkage. Even though I was hoping to get to compete with her (today) it just wasn't worth the pressure, after all, this bird was and IS Sarah!
I took her to a flying spot with a 15 foot elevation, and gave her a toss.I eased in a couple of light turns- about 30 degrees worth, and got a feel for the canard trim.
I dialed 30 % down, and I still needed to hold a bit of down on the stick, but the glide slope was very impressive!
I watched the shadow meet the fuselage , and that transition took about 120 feet!
now we are out of the house, on 3rd floor of a spacious living room, and working on both a canard rework and settling into the changes of spacial compressions.
I am sharing the sewing, computer, and Balsa works in one room, have changed out 3 boxes of stuff so far!.
I've gone from 6 horizontal surfaces to one!
I had to Put Sir Regis on hold a bit, as the weather is breaking to warm stuff here minnesnooter!
finally getting to the fun parts! aliphatic TiteBond 3 for the rudder mating, down to the home stretch!
The smallest number I can find is 137 different layouts of things to do.
here's a photo of a couple.
As per RC Airnut's request, the Arado-- comes out to a fuse 60" long, 6" dia and 45" wingspan/463 squares
Here is the newest;
Sir Regis: A 3 meter (120") Sig Riser mod from New Zealand, Washington New York, Pennsylvania and Minnesota

After the explosion created by overloading a trailing, we will travel the farthest journey yet
A redraw of the leading edge joints, better rib thickness (and foil) and microscopic accuracy of vertexes has already awarded us with a more clear view. whether flying the real deal, building, designing or flying, my trying to lie to myself that a stress reducer in a stressed environment is only a difficult task at best. Let's try this again!!
observe the drawings to start.
I will setup for laser just in case---

I got a little ahead of myself, in setting up a handlaunch size bird, but have a clue how to stuff this 40mm fan upon thus skinny kid!
Now to put gooder thinker to work!
Canard accuation like this
design has been scrapped due to not enough room to pack all the goodies!!
What a Pleasant surprise! My oldest daughter, Jenny showed up, and added to the collection of Family! The newest addition is Slammer, a Beagle Boxer mix who is a little faster than Lady. 33yr old camera is still neccessary for flight shots till I get really rich!...Continue Reading
