I wanted an F-15C and I wanted to see how using a bifurcated exhaust would affect power levels. This was my first design and worked out pretty good other than needing to add weight in the tail to make the CG. That was the price of keeping the plane as scale and as small as possible.

Update: decided to rebuild and repower. CG situation was dealt with by moving the battery packs to either side of the fan behind the intake ducting. Motor was changed to HET 2W20.

My entry into EDF began with a minifan F-18 built from plans Kevin Cox gave me. I've had a number of them since I started flying EDF jets. The current one has been modified to produce a more rounded, closer to scale airframe. I'll always have an F-18, it's a great flying airplane.

What's not to love about the F-14. This design started as a mistake when the copy shop making copies of Matt's dual minifan F-14 shrunk one of the copies. Built Spring of 2004, maidened and flown that summer. I flew it with the wings swept forward. The hardware is installed to sweap the wings but it greatly increase the complexity of the plane. Currently retired but I keep eyeing it with the thought of rebuilding it with dual microfans. Pointer to Matt's F-14 thread

This was one of Le's first public designs. It was challenging to get it to fly and according to Le, I was one of the few people to get it to fly besides him. Hard to get enough power yet still keep the weight down. Built January 2003, Maidened and retired that Spring. Pointer to Le's F-16 thread.
