Sorry I havn't posted in so long. I'v had nothing but snow and wind here in hicksville Iowa. I have been flying my hobbyzone supercub at the municipal airport because anywhere else it seems people give me a hard time. I hope to soon have a simple series cub finished. I'm using hobbyzone electronics in it.

Well I was almost ready to put a battery in my Flyzone Cessna 182 to maiden it. I had put quite a few hours into it and all my money from my bank account into electronics, I was going for broke. Early this morning I hurd a loud crash in my room, my Plane had fallen from it's wall mount. When I looked I could see that my plane was totaled. Prop mount was cracked and no way to get the motor mount out as its glued to the broken stick. Cowling is dented in and broken apart. Wing is in two pieces and dented badly in two more as it hit a shelf and my bed on the way down.Vertical tail is broken apart and the servo connected to it is stripped.

I dont know of anyone has read any of my previous blog entries but all I have to write about is one failure after another. I got 5 broken planes on the floor in my room. Why can't anything go right for me? And why am I not even getting to crash my own planes? Fate seems to be crashing them for me.

I flew my parkzone P-51 today after church and as soon as it was airborne I knew that something was wrong. one of the serfo wires had broken giving me no aileron control and to make a long story short I wound up crossing power lines. The plane was totally crumpled and I had to do a quick salvage job. This makes me pretty mad cause this was my last ditch efort to have something to fly. Should be over 6 months before I can fly anything at this rate.

Was kinda windy this week but I went just out of town to some steep hills hoping to catch an updraft for flying my Supercub. Holy cow that thing can go straight up. I was able to get it up several hundred feet before cutting power and letting it glide back down. The plane was incredibly stable in 10MPH winds and I was able to catch my plane to retrieve it. It was very fun and It just goes to show that a trainer can be fun even for someone with some experience with more advanced planes.

When we got home I set it on the dining room table and when it got dark the only light in the room was a light over the table. I sat at my computer looking at it and couldn't stop thinking about how far away and high up it got, and now its right back to where it started.

I had a hobbico Cessna 182, right out of the box and ready to fly. A range check showed that it was able to get clear signals from 100 yards so I'm good to go. Hand launched it and watched it circle me several times. On about my fourth pass I lose full control of the plane and about two seconds later it dives straight towards the ground. The entire fuselage is wasted. The Engine it bent and there is no hope of gluing this puppy back together. I really wonder what happened to cause that. That was $150 down the drain, I had saved for several months to buy that and now Its in pieces on the dining room table. I reacon I will be flightless for several more month as I only am making $50 a month. I am looking through the forsale/wanted section for a cheep plane. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

It was windy all morning but being Saturday it was the only chance this week that I would be able to fly this week. In the afternoon I want to the local schoolyard to fly my Cessna182. It was seriously underpowered, I couldn't maintain altitude even after I hand launched it and crashed it several times in the snow. Thank God for snow on the ground or it would have been carried home in a bag. When I got home I saw a box on my front steps addressed to me. It's a controller and receiver that singlespeed7 sent me. That was really nice. I'm definitely gonna have to make something nice for it. Looks totally old school and feels very sturdy, unlike these new controllers that come with most parkflyers. I get home and decided to fly my Hobbyzone Supercub in my backyard. That was a total disaster as I immediately had it hit a tree about 50 feet up. The wing is toast but the rest of the plain is relatively unharmed. When I got back inside I was so depressed. I have never crashed a plane so bad that it couldn't fly within 15 minutes before. I feel so bad about it. It will be quite some time before I fly again I have no money for a replacement wing right now. The one good thing is that it wasn't worse.
