Hello, My name is Mark, I'm currently a member of an R/C Flying Club in Northern Minnesota. I've been building and flying model airplanes since the 1950s and first got involved in R/C in 1968. I have Modeled in some way, shape; or, form, since a very young child, building plastic models, Model railroads or flying models.
I fly Mode One, which means my Throttle and Elevator are reversed from the more common Mode Two, which most all seem to fly now. The reason for this is very simple, when I joined a club in 1976, the largest portion of active flyers flew Mode One, so to get help learning to fly I switched. I also have more then a passing interest in R/C Sailplanes. I really enjoyed helping people learn to fly! However, no one is interested in learning Mode One; so, I don't get much of a chance anymore. Building to me is not assembling an ARF, although I use ARFs, also. I love building from Kits or from scratch. i have a fairly extensive library on the aspects of this hobby that interest me. I love books almost as much as I love this hobby.
