The plane was lost at a IMAA event on labor day weekend.4TH flight out on staurday morning :( :( .I'm now trying to finish up my Agri Duck. But it is going a little slow.I'm incorperating all knowledge learned from the MKII.Once I get the pc working correctly I will post pictures of the carnage   .A big loss to me but I will build another MKII but will add ailerons also.

Sorry for not checking in lately.MD MKII is flying fine.I broke the axel a couple weeks ago.Ihope to have two agri ducks with me at the neat fest. One is going to be for sale. Also I should be flying one at our IMAA giant scale show on labor day. Also had a bad landing gear day with the funky 40.But all is fixed. My adrian page super cub is back flying.I'm training myself on how to use flaps. This plane is as much fun to fly as the duck.My computer problems still exist so no pictures.Another thing is work is ramped up for me.(12hr days)Later,

Well folks,The plane is just about done.Except for the battery hatch that I need to finish the plane is "DONE!!!! :D :D " I wonder how many times I can say that.Anyhow here are some pictures.Graphics were done by a local shop  .I suggest going to how does it all the time.Hopefully in time I will get all the air bubbles out.Power is axi 4120/18 ,6s outrage4200 lipo.Graupner 11/8 THREE BLADE Prop.Wheels are over sized due to our flying feild conditions.
Well this past weekend I burned up another astro flight motor. But the plane didn't get hurt!!!Prior to last weekend I flew the duck and all was good. But then I did a "FIXED SOMETHING THAT WASN'T BROKE".I was checking the power out put around 1250watts and it seemed good. Then I had a brain fart.My funky 40 is flying on a 3blade prop .I had a larger prop that I could use on the duck.Well I did the watt meter thing and with batteries charged upand 3blade on I showed 1420watts.I thought this was great.I read the trade off to 3balde is more thrust and less speed.I also noticed 36amp draw.I remember what astro bob said that the motor will unload in the air.So figured the amp draw would be less.I was wrong. The plane struggled to get air born and once flying I need almost 3/4 to full throttle. After 4min of that the motor caught fire.I got it hot enough to melt the power lead off the brush tower.End of story. So becareful,ANyway here are some pictures for your enjoyment
Maiden flight is done and under my belt!!
Well the test flight is done!! The plane tracked nice on the runway and with a little elevator up it went.High rates are INSANE   ! I switched to low rates and they are still too much(30% of my high) on elevator. Ihad the plane a little tail heavy  .I kept the flying to simple things. But struggling with the elevator made it a chore to fly.So now getting the plane down in one piece in the cut grass area was priority number one. This plane is a floater hands down.I shut the throttle off in the air and the plane just stayed nice in level. But touching the elevator up or down the plane went crazy. So after a couple of tries I managed to get the plane down in the cut grass in one piece.Time may have been two mins or 3 .I didn't have my watch to keep track.Plus I found out the "GOOD DEAL  " on the 4000 6s packs I purchased where not so great. The one battery I did fly crapped out after the first flight!! Also I ran out of time to fly(Honey doo's took over :censored: ) Anyway I'll post more when I get more flight time in on the plane. This is a kit that well over looked as a sport plane and auwsome 3D machine.Later

Well covering and control surfaces are epoxyed in place. You can start to see the covering scheme coming togther.Blue/gold on the top.All silver on the bottom.Cowl will get painted.Enjoy
Here are two pictures that where posted in the wrong spot.wings are 90% cover.I'll post pictures tonight.

Well,I just got back into the r/c world.Took time off rite after the mudduck testflights on A123 cells.I just basiclly was fed up with gas prices, obligations with my rc club.So I took the spring /summer off.I became reinvolved with my other hobby(motorcycles).I did a lot of street riding and went to quite a few m/c events. Now as the weather is starting to deteriate I'm slowly getting back into the hobby.Went to my local hobby shop and talk to the guy's.I just purchased a new bantam 12s battery charger and all the goodies($425.00  ) .The mudduck motor is high volts and low amp draw.I also purchased two used flite power evo 20 6s4900mAh batteries. These are going in the mudduck to see how it will fly plus to see what duration I can get.I did a static power test yesterday.Under load I 'm getting 1'400 to 1'500 watts at 35amp motor draw. This is using a apc-e20x8 prop.I wanted to get out yesterday(monday for the test hop) but a twist in the horizontal stabilizer prevented that.I repaired that problem now the weather today is raining. So I will go on wensday morning. I'll post my result's tommorro.

Anyhow I'm going to do some static test today with a 8s pack to see what kind of power we can get. Here are some static field pic's enjoy.
