It is time to get the skis out. There is nothing like the sound of a super cub landing on snow in the dead of winter when the air is crisp and there is no other sound to be heard!

By the way, I have never had a problem without a tail ski. The tail wheel just follows along
Actually sometimes I have a hard time getting the super cub to stop when it lands on snow, I think the tail wheel probably helps slow it down just a little.

I bought an extra set of landing gear so I don't have to put the skis on the gear every time it snows. I just switch out the entire set of landing gear... much less of a hastle! -

These skis weigh almost exactly the same as the stock wheels so I still have plenty of room to strap a camera on. -

I chose to mount them a little differently than what is described in the included instructions because they just didn't seem to fit right the other way. -

Leave the set screw at a slightly "up" from level position when the plane is setting on the ground so when it lifts off, the skis will tilt upward enough to allow for a smooth landing.
