The gong song that was in your head for your 1st real air show, in 1987, finally gets a slideshow treatment. Didn't shoot any video. The planes were a lot older than 1987.
The air base tried to resurrect childhood memories, but didn't get far against the cold weather, the heartbreak, & the budget cuts. Mainly, unlike the old days, the air show no longer ends when the jets spin down & the carpets roll up.
After falling in love 2 years ago, it feels like 1 huge air show that never ends. You don't need a proper air base, the sound of turbines & the smell of JP-8 to get that buzz anymore, because the show is always in your heart.
