Upgraded my RealFlight sim to 7.5 and made a FPV map to practice this winter. I have a Multirotor race course and one for plane.

For multirotor flying I like to use the one from RCgroups available in the swap pages on RF forum. Check this out and please feel free to comment :

I've been flying my skywalker since 3 years now. I still like it a lot lot, and one of the fun thing I do with it is flying between trees:

Wow ! Just received this mini quad for testing. Still a Beta version but the final one should be released soon. It features integrated components to the top plates:
Boscam 200 mW 5,8ghx VRx, Naze 32, DTF-UHF rc Rx and voltage regulator.

Flies with a 1300 mAh 3S battery in this video but size is more suited to a 1000 mAh battery. RCX 3100 KV motors, 4x3 props.

Very fun quad and small and light to thread in many small needle holes

The rage is all in mini quads these days and I wanted to take the plunge too. I've been trying for a while to have a quad that flies agressively and fast and doesn't have any jello.

I wanted a blackout but was a bit thrown back by the price so a friend made me a plstic frame that he cnc cut, which was great but flexes too much for the type of flying I wanted to do. He did intriduce me to the Flip 1.5 with multiwii software that I found was the right controller for me. he sent me the v2 version of his plastic frame which will be a lot more rigid but the power system is not powerfull enough for my taste so I'll keep it for more leisure flights.

Another guy made me a plywood frame that is much more rigid and perfect for a race quad. I just love it ! Here it is:

Winter was very hard here this year, its only beginning to warm a bit, I still have snow on my lawn and we are almost may, but we had a great day last weekend and I'm saying that was the start of a new FPv season ! I'll concentrate on multi rotors this summer, with also aversa wing, my TBRC 60" wing I want to fly more and add OSD, and I'm playing with a versa wing from Flitetest, 4$ of foam board, very nice !

Here is the versa and some tricopter:

I didn't want do have the Tonka body go in the street in winter time as we use road salts over here and I was afraid it would attack the metal body that took me some time to restore and paint. The Tonka body is also pretty heavy so not all that good to ride on snow.

I decided to mod the stock Summit body to have something that ressemble a pickup truck, inpired by Woby's truck. Here is what I came with;...Continue Reading

Here is the new relay box so I can fly 1,3 ghz with my 5,8 ghz attitudes goggles. It feels so free not to be tethered to your ground station ! Also helps position the GS on a better site for improved reception when riding the Tonka Summit. Antennas can be stored inside for transport.

Big hole is for tripod handle: Placed vertically it enters the relay box to hold it. Can also add a broomstick to elevate relay box to get better signal reception.
