This year has been about building and finishing those kits that I have bought and never got around to building. Here's one that sat for about a year, I've finally finished, the Skyrider kit by Dave Powers at rcpowers.com. Though no longer available as a kit, you can still purchase the plans. This plane looks intimidating to build and fly, but it really wasn't. The tabs of the cut out pieces line up everything nice and the plane flys just like any aileron trainer. I was really surprised at how stable it is. It will fly inverted just fine and it will hover at just over half throttle. I power it with a Grayson Hobby 2212-10 motor and a APC 8x3.8 prop and 3 cell 1300 Mah battery.

My flying pal, the master of GWS Slowstick perversion, has yet another one to add to his collection. Its called the kitestick. It uses the same Harbor Freight kite as my ultralight, but he used a slowstick fuselage and various other slowstick parts to build the frame for his. Since his has a rudder and elevator it is much easier to control than my ultralight.
