I want to take a moment to wish everyone that bears the title of Marine a Happy 237th Birthday !!!!!!!! Semper Fi !!!!!!! I had the honor of serving with the Commandant when I was a SSgt. stationed in Hawaii with VMFA-212 the Lancers, back when he was a LtCol. and was my XO. Well I started my next build last sunday. Its Largo from Otto Dieffenbach's plans /design. This is turning out to be a very fun build, I even made some tools that should last a long time. It dosn't take long to see progress with 120 grit and a sharp blade. Here is the original thread http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1524990 You can see Otto's Largo there, I only hope mine comes out 1/2 as good as his did...Thanks again Otto for sharing this with RCG members, I'll add to this as I progress with the build.........Keep'em Flying.....Semper Fi...........

Hi everyone,
This is my 1st attempt at a foam scratch build. This was a lot of fun and only cost me $3.00 ( 3 sheets of $store foam ) When I found this thread ( http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1035283 ) I knew I had to build this for my granddaughter.....she loves grandpaís airplanes. I want to thank a fellow RCG member jacoda88 for sharing his plans. I will post the specs for everything I put in it when itís all set up. Hopefully I can maiden it this weekend. Still haven't done the maiden on my F-5E yet still trying to find a safe place to do it.......John D.

I finally finished my F5-E. It was originally in the Swiss team colors, but being a Marine I thought I would change it up a bit. Kind of my tribute to the aggressors at Top Gun School. It came out so good I'm almost afraid to fly it........nawww its going up, I'll have to weigh it so I'll know how deep to dig when I lawn dart it. Nothing last forever, I'll have my daughter take pictures, if all goes well..... I'll post them......If it does not I'll post'em.........Keep'em Flying........Semper Fi.............
