Hey Guys,
Any one else getting excited about this weekend? Biggest race of the season is now just a few days away! F5B National Title is on the line, plus the US Team Selection and our new class, The Hotliner Championship. I'll start a thread for post and pics and videos of the weekend, so hopefully some of the fun can be sent out across the net for all to share. See you soon! Eric |

Here are the latest settings that seem to be working nicely after 5 test flights with 6S.
This is version 3.20. I have not had good results with earlier software versions.
I no longer use this esc for F5B, but some have had great success.
Hope this helps,
Eric

at sun set, the house was fine, so I went to our property about a mile north in the mtns. This is a Cat 824, getting ready for a new task -

The fire fighters on this ridge had shovels, and welcomed the 824's big blade support. -

the guys to my right here are "Hot Shots" from Kern County. They saved my land and tousands of acres in the forest. standing at the "divide", as seen later. -

This is one of the tools that the Hot Shots use, its a magnesium flare shot from a pistol, good fun starting fires (fighting fire with fire). They understand Fire Science!
Available. PM if interested. This makes for a simple solution cross over plane that was strong and enabled light lift / no lift fliying.

low power up to 150 watts, the tape was sufficient as a motor mount. Motor shown here is a 2 to 3S Axi Mini Extreme with integrated planetary geardrive; it kicks but on 3s with LMR throttle use. And with extra cells velcro-ed to the top of the wing, if yo -

modified cone. The velcro on the top allows for an additional batt (zagi style). This bumped up the power to 500 watts. I noticed no drag penalty, although I am sure there was a little bit. Makes for happy lipos if they are being pushed; lots of cooling : -

RTF. with this particular motor, a geared Mega 1615/4 with gearbox on 4S, 3 oz tail weight temporarilly added to the fuse for balance; she really penetrates this way and I liked this AUW best.
Airfoil: MG06
Wing Area: 298 in?
Wing Loading: 15 oz/ft? +
Overall Length: 35 inches (889 mm)
Weight Empty: 21 oz (320g) empty
Weight All Up: 32 oz + 12 oz ballast
Ctrl Surfaces: Ail/Flap/Rud/Elev (V-tail)
Features All hollow molded one piece carbon skinned wing and tail
From SUSA: The Carbon Banana is our fastest 60" glider. Considerably beefier than the standard glass Banana, the all Carbon version exhibits phenomenal precision and stability in the air. It's ability to cut through choppy air is uncanny, and extremely rewarding. The Carbon Banana uses the MG06 airfoil from Marcel Guwang, also used on the F3F record holding Miraj 30.80 the Pike Brio, and our own Trinity. This plan form and airfoil gives the Banana great handling and is very smooth with excellent ?grip? in the turns. This plane will out accelerate of our other 60" planes. Period.
The Carbon Banana is an absolute pleasure to fly. It feels much "larger" in the air, yet remains very nimble. It almost defies description in it's handling. Adjectives such as "smooth", "fast", "liquid", "oiled", "rush", "fantastic", "breathtaking" and so forth are always heard when a pilot is first given the transmitter. Frequently followed by, "No way, I'm keeping it!", or, "Come on, just a bit longer, pleaassee?" when we try to retrieve our transmitter from the now manically possessive guest pilots...Continue Reading
