Paula fell at work on the first and splintered the bone in her upper arm. And has been off works since.
My health has also gotten worse at the same time. We have had no money coming in since then.,
So even though I do not want to. I have to start selling off my rc stuff. This will probably mean the end of the hobby for me.
I don't see myself able to rebuy at any point soon.
So I am going to go over what I have and will post everything for sale. we have bills to pay. And need gas for her rehabilitation appointments. And I need gas for my doctors visits.

I will not be able to take any trades. And I do not have paypal. So payment will have to be postal money order from the post office. Or cash if meeting in person.

Work has already started on this years event, Some things will be the same. But there will be a lot that is new!

One thing is we are going to have a larger number of Tee shirts this year. More colors.
And this year in addition to offering a free one to the person who submits the art work we use on the shirts.

We are also going to sell space on the shirts. As it stands now there will be a row of names above the artwork. And 3 below.
So if you have a company that would like to be a part of the fly in. You can buy a spot on the shirts. We are planning on doing 100 shirts this year. Your company will be seen anywhere the shirts are worn. So that makes for a lot of exposure!

If you are a member or a club and your club wants to be on the shirts you can buy a space for that too.

Even an individual can.

Woke up this morning and we have about 4" of snow on the ground and it is still snowing!!
I normally keep track of the weather so I can try and fly when it is good.
Well last night for some reason I did not bother....
So it was a bit of a shock to wake up to the sound of snow plows and a world of white!

I found this and thought it would make a great desktop on my computer.


I was right!

Paula my GF is in ICU in Tulsa. She called me today and asked me to take her home. She was having bad chest pains.
She is being looked at in Tulsa by a cardiologist. I am going to see her in the morning.

It is time now to form a Club for those who want to fly at the airport in Holdenville.
And for those who want to be an ongoing part of the fly in.

We have had several new people come to fly with our group. And others who have asked about flying there.

So I think it is time to form a club. When we have enough members we will get an AMA charter.

Looking for people who can come and fly and meet with us on a regular basis.
We will have to discuss the details of the club such as dues, name for the club etc.

For now we will call it the Dustbowl Flyers. That is open to discussion of course. But have to start with something!

Having MS means many things change, and a lot of them are invisible. Unlike having cancer or being hurt in an accident, most people do not understand even a little about MS and it's effects on us; and many of those who think they do know are actually misinformed. Please understand that being sick does not mean I'm no longer a human being. I have to spend most of my day in considerable pain and exhaustion and if you visit I probably don't seem like much fun to be with, but I'm still me stuck inside this body. I still worry about school, and work, and my family and friends, and most of the time I'd still like to hear you talk about yours too.

Please understand the difference between "happy" and "healthy". When you've got the flu you probably feel miserable with it for a week or two, but I've been sick for years. Mom had surgery yesterday. Made it through that. But found she has cancer all through her body. When she is able to they want to start Chemo. To extend her life as long as they can. Got the news her temp is up. Not good. Please all my friends pray for her....

I am looking at two different models for my next plane.
One is the E-Flite Taylorcraft 450.
And the other is the Mini Pulse xt.
I have had the Mini Pulse before and liked the way it flew.
The T craft I like the looks of but have not flown one.

Most of the time I fly at the airport in Holdenville where we hold the Dustbowl Fly In for MS.
So either would be fine there.
But I also have access to 14 acres of open land at a friends place. Part of that is mowed.
My question is which it better off grass? Or is there something better? One hitch in the giddyup is that base and final on landing approaches is made over trees and his hanger.
Comments? Suggestions?

My internet service at home is down once again. I am at McDonalds as I post this. I hope it is back up in a day or two.

A burglar breaks into a house. As hes filling his bag he hears a voice say, " Jesus is watching you." He stops for a sec, scared. Again, " Jesus is watching you." Shining his flashlight around he sees a parrot in the corner. He walks to the parrot and says, "stupid parrot, whats your name?" parrot replies, "Moses." burglar says, "Moses, what kinda stupid people name a parrot Moses?" Parrot replies, " the same stupid people that named that rottweiler behind you Jesus!!!"

Well the fly in is about a week away now... Are you ready? Going to be great!

Ray Mack one of the VPs of the Tulsa M.S. Society is going to be at the fly in with his family.
He is bringing a tent and table and will have MS materials at their table to hand out.
Lets all make them feel welcome and show our appreciation for their attendance.
And for all the good work the M.S. Society does for those of us with M.S.

So if you are thinking of donating or sponsoring any part of the event please contact me! We want to put you on the banner. It is 4'X8' And makes a good backdrop for pictures!
The clock IS ticking but there is still time to join us in helping find a cure for MS. Any and all donations are helpful and gratefully appreciated!

Well the fly in is getting closer!
There is still so much to do. Hobby King has stepped up again as title sponsor and has shipped prizes and other things for the fly in. And other sponsor has too.
I will start posting who has donated soon.

But there is a lot needed yet too. We need more prizes for the raffles. And we need bodies at the fly in to help manage and run the event.

And help contacting businesses and sponsors, And most importantly we need lots and lots of people to attend the event! After all it is the people that makes this event a success!
People to come and fly and have fun. People to buy raffle tickets and enjoy the prizes.

Keep in mind the real goal of the event is to help find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. And to educate people about MS and about the greatest hobby there is!
So if you want to help in any way at all please do! It can be helping get donations. Sending emails or helping man the event. And of course just coming and taking part in all the fun helps a lot!

I wish everyone could have been there when I handed over the check to the MS Society . To hear the applause from the people there. To see the gratitude in the eyes and on the faces of the people there that deal with MS every day of their lives. It means a lot more then I can tell you to them and to me.

I have MS. And I want to help others like me to have hope for the future and a cure and end to MS.

You can help, You can make a real difference.
