Cut the weight from the pen cam from 114 grams down to 48 grams by hacking off the heavy case and soldering in 2 AAA instead of the AA.

Snap the housing open and take out the board. You will have to unscrew two screws that hold the lens to the image sensor. once off the board put the lens back over the sensor and put two dabs of glue on the ends of the screws over the sensor. -

After the first trial I suggest using a CA that has a little more time to work to adjust the position or use an Epoxy. On my first run it dried to quick and the alignment is slightly off. I doubt it will have any adverse effect but a little extra work time would be good to get a piece of paper between the gears to be sure they mesh with the right clearance.

Match up where it needs to be sanded flat with the dremel. Mark with a sharpe where it needs to be sanded down. Sand and check, then sand and check. The closer they match the stronger the bond will be. -

with the gears meshing smoothe mark a spot to drill a 1/16 hole in the lower tail mount. A piece of CF rod will add lateral stability. Carefull not to drill into the tail wires. -
