I began building a Guillow kit for indoor flying this winter. You can follow the build log here.
TinyBriteLights micro warbird set
As soon as I saw those I wanted to install them on my UM P-51. They aren't available from TBL directly in Canada. I finally found a distributer/seller in alberta, PMHobbycraft. Nice set, small but quite rugged. I was afraid to break something on the install but it worked out good. Made guns and put the six firing leds at the tip. Hardest part of the install. Now those flatouts, MCX and UM cubs better watch it in the gym

Preparing for FPV
After doing some aerial footage with a flycamone v2 for a couple of years and a keychain cam this year (less expensive than the flycamone but better picture !), I am preparing to buy FPV equipement for next summer. This article gave me some good info, as well as this site http://fpvpilot.com/default.aspx
I am looking at a basic startup package like this. At least that is what I have in mind for now. I am also practicing some new place to fly with my GP Sprectra, as the FPV cam will be mounted on this plane to practice. here is a vid of the field near my house:

Hangar 9 Twin Otter
This plane is great. Lots of fligths on it and always fun to fly. I could shoot landings all day with it. A little detailing and it will look superb ! Here is a vid of it:

What a nice show, could see a vintage F-86, Corsair, a new super hornet and the Thunderbirds !
Past the 1000 posts
Na...still the same after 1000 posts, although I looked weird this morning. Must be because I only slept 5 hours because of the H-9 Otter build
1000 posts soon
Approaching the 1000 posts soon. Seems anyone approaching this stage on RC Groups makes a comment about it. I wonder if I will change in a fury ball or something...
Keychain micro camera
I went to the Club's winter dinner about a month ago and a fellow club member showed me his new keychain camera. Of course I bought one. For 16 $ you get a very small cam that measures about 1 inch width by half an inch tall by 1 and a half inch long. It takes AVi movies at a 720 x 480 resolution. A blade CX2 can lift it without a problem and fly for about 6 minutes:
Best of all, I tried it on a Parkzone Ultra Micro Sukhoi !! It is flyable ! The gym in wich we flew is kind of small and it is hard to get some decent speed so the image moves a lot:

RC ultra micro craziness
These little 2,4 blades and ultra micros from HH are making me go crazy ! I buy the latest, they just come in with more new stuff too cool to pass on and my GF is giving me the LOOK
At least they are small so they hide well and I think that after 10 RC things in the house (hey, I am there, and still 10 free memories on the DX7
) girls just stop seeing new stuff as long as they don't see the box coming through the door...
