I finally got my GoPro ! Paid less since they got the new Hero2 out, I bought the 960. Would have liked the 60fps of the full edition for slow motion, but it still has great video quality:

Stryker meets GoPro (3 min 34 sec)

Maidened of the Habu 32 today. 3 flights so far, excellent plane ! Tracks well, easy to handle, slows well on full flaps with good control authority. Lands well, but will need practice to slow more on the approach. Eflite retracts didn't need any re-adjustments after 3 flights although the grass was fairly long for our usual golf green runway. Sadly, I'll have to hang it under the ceiling t'ill next summer as snow will be here soon and the grass won't be cut again this year

Tricopter flies ! Still some fine tuning to do but it works, and quite well so far.

Frame for tricopter from blueskyRc is built. Will paint it tomorrow. Electronics will arrive next week I hope. Can't wait to try that thing !

FPV flying is real fun but needs a full commitment on clean installation and testing. This video was made while testing a Great Planes spectra electric glider with a servo for panning the camera.

Here is little project that started as a birthday gift from my daugther. I am quite happy with the results.

For this flight I used the Fatsharks goggles to get an immersion experience. really makes you feel like your flying the plane from the cockpit !

I am a real FPVer now ! I received this week a 900 mhz FPV system. After trying it static, I wanted to try it on a vehicle since my glider is not ready (waiting for brushless power system and must build pusher motor pod to have clear unobstructed view in front of the camera).

So I removed the body of my daughter's mini mauler and made a lite ply platform and mast to mount the camera, VTx and battery. I plugged it on the tv and drove around the basement going from the living room to the workshop by a small ramp. Works great and is way cool ! I am not sure the mast is necessary but I wanted to have the video transmitter higher than the RC antenna. The battery (2200 mAh) is too big and heavy for the suspension but I am waiting some 800 mAh....Continue Reading
