This is the second flight with my UMX B-17 after some elevator trimming took place with the plane. It still isn't perfect, but I plan to do more dialing in with this plane until the weather improves anyway.

Flight Two - E-Flite UMX B-17 Flying Fortress WWII Bomber with AS3X Technology (2 min 45 sec)

This video contains the Unboxing, Near Crash Maiden Flight, and Review of the E-flite UMX B-17G Flying Fortress WWII Bomber with AS3X Technology.

I literally open up the box and describe what I see, like, and dislike about the planes. I also demonstrate a number of things as well, but of course you have to watch the video to see and hear it all.

Not only that, I included an exciting Maiden Flight. I expected to fly a slow scale plane and have it be a relatively boring experience. Well, that wasn't the case at all! Right after take-off there was a near crash and I will let you watch the video to see the rest.

Here is a summary of the review notes from the video:

Cons
- Very thin rudder
- Brushed motors
- Not much power
- Very out of trim elevator
- Hard to install landing gear

Pros
- Nice details
- 4 motors with scale props
- Fits in box for easy storage and transport

This is the complete unboxing, maiden and review:

With the rainy weather expected for the next few days, I decided to edit some video tonight of the fun I had with my UMX Pitts this past Sunday.

Here is a short video of me landing on video for the very first time on pavement with that plane. I have landed many times on pavement off camera, but this is the first flight on camera. The only other landings to date I have on record are grass landings, including crash landings into grass

I was able to get out and fly my new E-Flite P-51 Mustang today after not being able to fly since the maiden. In many ways it felt like the maiden all over again as you can see by how poorly done my take-off was. It was still a great flight and I still have the grin on my face

Here is another fun video with my flying mentor John showing us what his J-Power P-38 Lightning WWII Warbird RC Plane can do.

In this video you will see nice low slow passes along with various tricks and additional surprises with this P-38 Parkflyer.

This is my FIRST flight caught on video with this plane of me NOT crashing it lol

I got it from a co-worker that had the ACT System hooked up to the receiver and boy did that dog not hunt! I knew pretty quickly why it was just given to me in pieces.

I had a much easier time landing this plane this time. I also got to fly it in front of two great guys, including one of my lifelong friends:

This is a flight that my buddy John and I recorded yesterday along with the P-38 video a number of you have already seen. The difference is this one ended in a crash when I tried to float in instead of landing under power like I know I should with a plane like this.

I haven't been able to fly for the past week or so due to the weather, so I decided to take advantage of the weather inside with an old friend in the Parkzone Mini Vapor.

Watch as this Mini Vapor takes on my apartment once again on a rainy October day in Western Washington with my new DX6!

This is a quick flight my buddy John and I recorded recently. Everything was going as planned until a few minutes in, long before the timer was supposed to sound, something happened.

This video review features my new Parkzone Archer BNF unboxing, maiden flight, flight review, and fun bonus footage including a crash.

This is the first civilian RC Plane I have ever owned and I am excited about it with a few exceptions that surfaced when reviewing this new RC Plane.

Here are the unboxing and review notes for this plane

Unboxing Review Notes:

Cons
- Hatch design and functionality
- Horizontal stabilizer install
- Odd size and method to secure battery

Pros
- Very nice looking plane
- Nice size for more varied flying locations
- Price point when purchased

Here are the flight review notes:

- Elevator required lots of radio trim
- It is a great little flyer
- Does rolls and loops with ease
- Lands hotter than expected

This is my E-Flite P-51 Mustang Unboxing, Build, Maiden Flight, and Review video. It shows me unbox, build, fly, and review the new full-house Dallas Doll P-51 Mustang from E-Flite.

This is the BNF Basic, which means it doesn't come with a battery or a charger. It does come with a receiver to bind to your Spektrum radio such as a Spektrum DX6 like I used in the maiden flight in this video.

This is my first park flyer sized P-51 and it is the first plane I have ever owned that comes complete with flaps and retracts, which was a bit intimidating to say the least.

Horizon Hobby and E-flite did a good job overall this RC plane in spite of the cons I have noted below in the flight review notes. I am still in awe of how well it flies. It was modeled after the "Dallas Doll" North American P-51 Mustang Warbird and this one certainly looks the part.

Flight Review Notes:

Cons
- Paint flakes off way too easy and glue is required
- Arrived with dinged up flap
- Slightly underpowered
- Used up more battery than other HH warbirds

Pros
- Tracks really well right out of the box and required no trim
- The AS3X did not interfere with the flight
- Quick and easy build overall
- Comes with flaps and retracts

My overall conclusion is that If you are on the fence about buying this like I was, jump off and get your piece of World War II history today. None of the issues I had with this plane impacted the flight performance in a negative way.

This video is my unboxing and review of the Spektrum DX6 6-Channel DSMX Transmitter Unboxing and Review.

Here are my unboxing and review notes for this radio:

Cons:
- Draws a lot of battery power quickly
- Not a beginner radio (There are lots of ways to make mistakes, so get help from an experienced buddy if you are a beginner with this radio)

Pros:
- Updated look and feels great in your hands
- 250-Model Memory
- Backlit display
- Voice Alerts
- Built-In Telemetry
- Programming for Airplanes, Helicopters and Sailplanes
- Easy to bind aircraft to it

I bought this because my Spektrum DX6i ran out of model memory a long time ago since my hanger continues to grow every day. It is full of Parkzone and E-flite brand RC Aircraft using 2.4GHz DSM2 and DSMX.
