I had the opportunity to make a pit stop at the AMA Museum and Headquarters in Muncie Indiana a couple of weeks ago while on a cross country trip from my home in Texas to Boston to drop my daughter off at college. You know I had to bring an airplane with me to fly at one of there 8 fields. Well to my shagrin 6 of them were closed and the only two that were opened were for park flyers and gliders. Nothing like traveling a 1000 miles to go flying and not being able to fly! Well, at least the Museum was opened so it wasn't a total loss! I must say I was quite impressed with all the different types of aircraft and eras that were on display. The museum was quite smaller then I expected though.
