It's been awhile since my last blog post. I haven't been doing anything in the R/C planes but I have been working on some C/L projects. I just finished the Scientific Little Devil C/L plane and I have another secret project I'm building.
Other then that, I been building model rocket clones of some Estes rockets I built in the early seventies as a young teenager.
Here is my latest creation. I'm using paper towel tubes and easter egg nose cones. I do the math and enlarge the fins from a few rocket sites that include the plans of the Estes rocket. I call it the Blue Nose Yellow Streak.
I built the Lunar Module 'Eagle' this past summer for the 40th anniversary of the manned moon landing. I building a larger version(1/24) and it will be rocket motor powered.

I got these enlarged Guillow plans from somebody on Ebay several years ago.
I started building it over a year ago, got bored and frustrated and went on to other projects.
Well it's time time to finish the Champ.
I got inspried to build this by using Mario A. method.
PIII FFF, Balsa and paper covering. It works well and is inexpensive.(cheap)
I like to experment a little.
I built a second wing this past winter because I did not like how much the first wing weighed. I used solid trailing edge balsa instead of two 1/16" balsa sheets.
The second wing was much lighter than the first by ounces.
Check out the pic's

New project.
I want to enter the Fun build II so I enlarged a Guillows Arrow to 200%.
It will be three channel,R,E,T.
I thought of the color scheme this A.M. while in the bathroom.
I get some of my best ideas in there.
