I am teaching my nephew Myles to fly.
He has picked it up very quickly thanks to lots of time on an Xbox.
We started on a weasel and moved onto a halfbad.

My Stinger 45 is reborn.
I plowed it into some shrub at 85mph DS'ing last weekend,Popping the tail off, breaking the nylon wingbolts and cracking the wing where i had completed a poor repair last year.
I glassed top and bottom inboard of the aileron cutouts, Now its very strong and ready for more punishment. The tail glued back on easily with some thin CA and a pipette. Painted the fuse/tail/wing with rustoleum spray paint and im quite happy with the finish.Colour and stripes is with vinyl.A couple of new 45HB servos for the wings and i call it done.Ready for a remaiden at Manilla slopefest.

The stinger is my favourite plane,It goes with me on every slope trip. At 45 inches the wings never need to come off for transport. If i could only pick one plane for slope use this would be it, It flies well in light lift right through to the heavy days.I love it so much i have ordered another just so i have a backup.

R2 hobbies Passer is ready for maiden. AUW is 560 grams or 19.75 oz, a little heavier than i would like. The kit quality is fantastic with a nice strong fuse and excellent covering job.I used HXT900's in the wing and HS55's for the vtail, an AR500 rx and 4.8v 800mah AAA Eneloop pack. I fitted the tow hook at 1/2 inch in front of CG.Looking forward to throwing this off the slope and high-start.

I picked up a carbon destiny from Andrew at Falcon Gliders.
I wanted something cheap but strong that i can DS and generally treat badly.
The basic hardware that comes with the plane is quite good so i have used the ball links on the wings

Servos are 82MG's because they are cheap enough and i have had good luck with them in other airframes.

I have opened up the wing saddle quite a bit so i can centre load the ballast tube and reinforce the saddle with carbon tow.
So i mixed up some resin

And added tow and 2oz glass to the saddle and in the canopy and nose.
I really need to buy a roller but i did the best i could with an epoxy brush.

Ive just finished my new Alula today after waiting weeks for my new radio to be delivered. It has Blue bird servos, DF batt and an AR6100e rx. Needed $4.10 to balance which is 2 $2 coins and 2 5 cent peices Decoration with black texta.

Maiden went fantastic at trinity point 6-8 knots. After a few tosses to fix trim it went straight up,I got a sweet 20 minute flight sloping off some trees on the waters edge.
