Now onto Sunday and I returned to Rougham airfield for the “Wings Wheels and Steam” country fair. It was basically a show were old things were on display, The wings part was covered by a small display by a few aircraft like the tiger clubs 4 Turbulents, 3 stearmen and a Yak 52.
Wheels, well there was, old motorbikes, tractors, cars, Lorries, old army vehicles and bicycles,
Steam, Steam cars, Traction engines and a lorry covered the steam part.
Add in a free circus for the children, sheep dog display, birds of prey display, folk music in the tea tent and Morris men outside the beer tent, two long rows of stationary engines, it was a good day.
Were else do you get to see three Stearman taking off in formation whilst you are watching the Green dragon Morris men?
