Ready to build, another 50mm KMP / Sky Angel 50mm EDF, but I'm waiting for a Himax fan & motor combo to arrive before I start.

May also try a thrust tube on this?????

Also need to decide on which battery to use/will fit. I don't want to take too much foam out, and also don't want to damage the canopy. Got some Turnigy Nano-Tech 1000mAh on order......hope they go in.

Just finished my Sky Angel 50mm T-45 Hawk, in Canadian colours. I increased the size of the battery space by removing some of the foam bracing. I then added some carbon braces, which take up less space. This is the first time I have ever done a "mod" on a stock kit.

I also added some white "flashes" to the tail and underside, to hopefully make it easier to see in the air.

Turnigy Plush 25A esc and stock motor/fan, with a 3S 1350mAh Rhino 25C battery, plus I have some nano-tech 1300's to try.

I'll post some pics of the inside bay but here is it before the maiden!

Edit:
Well it flew just great - very stable, good roll (with the recommended control throws) but maybe not enough elevator. Good 4 minute flight on the 1300s, need to see if I could go longer. Also, not quite enough power for extended vertical performance, but power system is stock. I've increased the control throw on the elevator to see how we go.

Slightly disappointed at how much paint is coming off the bottom of the model. Definitely need to look at putting some reinforcement/protection on the bottom.

Here are the pictures of my carbon battery compartment mods.
