Current project on the bench. Phil Kraft Kwik Fli reduced to a 180 size motor. Design by Andy Kunz and laser cut kit from Manzano Laser Works. Build thread: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...0#post37128328
I'm using 2.5gm servos instead of the UMX servos and it's a taill dragger instead of tri-gear.

Had the guts of a micro P-51 that needed a new home. This fun little build is a Bob Selman (BSD Micro) kit. Lots on fun to build. Will need a REALLY calm day to try it out.

Finished this one a year ago, just didn't post pics. Flies very solid even in wind.

This poor beast has been worked on for at least the past 3 years. It's been to TX, IN and finally CA. Danny Miller had it for about a year until he passed. Excellent craftsman! Radio South had it next and made it work properly. Finally, Calaire in Burbank made it look great and tightened up the stick.
This one is Spektrum 2.4 with a Microstar encoder.

Threw this together this past winter. It's a 1968 Guillows Arrow I found on ebay. Built one rubber powered when I was a bit younger. This version is powered by the guts of a Vapor - motor/Rx-servo. Needed a 500mah 1S lipo to balance it. Modded the vertical fin to add a rudder and added a piece of 1/32" sheet to the stab. for elevator. So I have rud/ele/tht. Maiden coming, on a VERY calm day

Just finished, waiting on graphics. E Flite retracts, 4 HS-85MG servos. Hacker A30-10XL, 10 x 8.5 prop, Tru Turn turbo flow spinner. First test showed 630 watts at 50 amps. Weighs in at 4.5 lbs with 3300 4S lipo.

So - after 4 years, thought I should post the final 'paint' scheme.

Prop down to 10 x 7. 10 x 8.5 prop made it to fast

Picked this one up for $70 in very good shape. Had a Saito something in it and I put a Axi 4130/16. Should have enough power (1100 watts)

Was happy to take part in this worthy endeavour. Worked together with SnowDog74.

Just about done. That light film covering is a b*tch for a one-handed bandit! Very light airframe. TP90 servos, A20-20L motor, No Name 25A ESC and will use a 1000-1300mah lipo.

Finally flown it a few times. Gets better with every flight! I was intimidated by it's size but it flys SOOOO smooth. It makes me look like I know what I'm doing.

Vintage about 2004. Found it here while looking for a Fliton Edge. Got the 1 piece composite LG from Esprit Model. The original Flitons ain't too good. Made them fit with very little mod. Need decent gear on the grass field at the club site.

Motor, servos, lipo and ESC from Heads Up RC. You gotta try them!

If any of you use stainless hardware, please check my site: trimcraftaviationrc.com

Helps me buy more toys!!!!

I swear it was the radio! But Tweety Bird is gone. Still can't throw away the pieces.

I electrified a Fliton Infinity 90. Won't fit on the floor for a good pic.

Ziroli Turbinator. REAL pain to build, but flys very nice. Only pulling 600W so it's no screamer. Even with E Flite retracts.

Hanger shot. Need more room or less toys!

OK, this is my new dream transmitter. Another incredible Danny Miller build. Unfortunately the wonderful old gent it was built for will not be able to use it. Very sad story and I feel like a thief in the night being the new owner. I paid a great deal for it and will give it a very good home. Thanks Elmer!!!

Found this on RCU and had to have more of the stuff from the 70's. Used more great stuff from HeadsUpRC to make it go. Should be a rocket!

Ready for maiden! Now if the dam east winds off Lake Michigan will quit so I don't have to T.O. downwind.

Hope to have this beast flying this spring. Turnigy SK6374 motor and 100HV Sentilon ESC. Changed the ESC to a CC85HV, Sentilon didn't like 12S.

Kinda my dream transmitter. Original transmitter was new and living in Texas when I found it. Danny Miller, also from Texas, made it into a Micro Star 2K, 2.4 ghz with switches placed to suit my slight disability. Danny is a top shelf craftsman and just goofy enough to be a joy to work with.
