I tested out a new set of FP wood blades this weekend. I got them on sale from Heli-Fever (http://www.heli-fever.com/product_in...oducts_id=194), and they were a TREMENDOUS deal. I got 4 full sets for $17.50 before shipping!

I have to say they are wonderful! These blades are VERY high quility and the covering is perfect. My other FP woodies had several bubbles, and were not covered at the root. Also, the root of the old blades was very thick and would not allow a normal installation. So, I had to mount the blades on top of the FP head. These new blades are a direct replacement for the stock blades and fit perfectly. They seem to track well, and have less lift than the stock bldes so you get more headspeed. They really perform well in F/FF flight!

Well... I has a small mishap this weekend. My tail servo decided to quit working in mid flight. Fortunately, the heli was only about 10' off the ground in hover when it started to piro uncontrollably! I just cut the throttle and she came down without a scratch. That is my 2nd Eflite S60 failure in 3 months!

So, I got a 306BB. Based on all the reviews, this servo should last a little longer... and it sure seems to center better too! It even matches the purple tail boom!

Here is some information on my current heli. It started out as a stock Honey Bee FP, that I bought back in March '07, and I have been modifying it ever since. The current specs are:

- Century 3d Pro Bare Bones (includes 1-way main gear)
- Collective Pitch mast replaced with an FP mast from a Century Elite FP
- HeliHobby Fixed Pitch Wood Blades
- Custom Aluminum Head Stiffener (Hand made from a Century Elite Chassis Plate)
- Century Elite Lightened Flybar Paddles (for better cyclic response)
- Century 4100KV Brushless In-runner (w/10T steel pinon)
- Eflite 20A Brushless ESC
- Esky HH Gyro
- Spektrum AR6100 Receiver (no more glitches and no more antenna wires!!!!)
- Specktrun LP5DSM Transmitter (from Blades CX2)
- Custom Aluminum Tail Boom (from an Axe CP)
- Custom Aluminum Swash (Lower 1/2 from an Esky Lama and Upper 1/2 from HBFP)
- Esky HPFP Servos for cyclic and Eflite S60 on the tail
- Commonsense RC 1250 mah 11.1 v lipo with Micro Deans connectors
- White Blade CP Pro Canopy

AUW is a little porky at 371g, but with the power of the 4100/10T, this little heli is a ROCKET! Still working on getting some good video, so here is a really short flight vid for now:
