UAV 370 FPV at the beach "Rough Cut" (3 min 32 sec)

compilation of a FPV flights on the UAV 370, the wind started at about 10-13 knots but quickly rose to 15-20 knots, really windy day...

UAV 270-m "RTL" success (1 min 39 sec)

I had not intended to test RTL on this flight however I was glad it worked. I suspect the RC tx was swamped by the Video Tx. going to try it again with a 5.8 ghz Vtx to see if it removed the issue.

UAV370 FPV Testing Setup (10 min 1 sec)

The GoPro placement provided for a interesting point of view, this also shows the flexibility of the fpv integration.

Mamba UAV 370-p test flight, tuning and balance, however we do have fun with the soundtrack. This is a full flight video, of the first flight on this particular production airframe.

This was a recent aircraft test flown and tuned for a customer. We provided all of the integration into a very well sorted RTF, or Ready to fly aircraft.

All the flight modes were tested however they were not noted in the video.

Mamba UAV 370 FPV Testing (4 min 53 sec)

This is a video of a full flight from take-off to touchdown to show the stability of the platform in terms of main frame vibration that creates the dreaded jello. There has been no post stabilization done on this video and has only been color corrected (Attempted) The flicker is a suspected light sensor issue as the GoPro Hero 3 Black was attempting to adjust to the light levels.

FrSky Taranis flight modes with ArduPilot Tutorial

This is my tutorial on how I configure my FrSky Taranis to allow flight mode changes to be displayed on the Taranis screen as well as spoken out loud.

I use the following switch settings for my flight modes:
SB+ Manual Mode
SB- AUTO MODES Selected by SA
For this we will be using Logical Switches, Special Functions, Flight Modes and the Mixer. This setup allows me to select a normal flight mode (Either Manual or FBWA) and also announce which AUTO mode is armed.

Flight Mode setup:

First we need to define each of the 5 flight modes. Flight mode 0 is a default mode that is active when no other modes are, so we will skip it and start on flight mode 1. The flight mode name is what is shown on your transmitter display.


Flight Mode Names
Setup as listed

Name: Normal
Switch: SB+

Name: F B W
Switch: SB

Name: Loiter
Switch: SA+

Switch: SA

Name: Auto
Switch: SA-

Next configure the Logical Switches.

Logical switches are used for secondary actions such as playing the voice for current / armed flight mode. This step depends on the Flight Modes being defined. L1-L5 are used to activate on Flight Mode selection, L6-L8 are used to activate AUTO Mode selection and announce when not in AUTO Mode (IE Arm AUTO,

I have not picked this Vtail up since I was stupid enough to take a part of a tail rotor to the eye this past June. It was a really stupid mistake, everything is fine now and it confirmed that the original landing gear would not work, at least for me. The above gear shown is from a mold that is then cut on a water-jet. I made up several sets for many of the models I wanted to covert to coaxial setups, and could not forget the Vtail.
This frame will convert well to a Mini Y6 design also and if I flip the gear around everything clears. This curve shape was more of opportunistic engineering than anything else, once cut though it has proven to be great landing gear. I have recently added this as a option for the custom RTF builds we provide, if you are interested more information can be found here under Mamba UAV 370 page on the Digi-DNA.net site, very soon they will be also sold at quadrysteria.com
