helo again I started to work on the doors and I got TF inteor kit the kit it's not the best but with mod's I think it will work at least I have scale sizes . when I started to build this kit I knew it was going to be costly so I thought I would use all the parts that came with the kit insted of buying after market like cowls landing gear that saves $250 right off the bat. But I can see why the others chose to go that way I'am not working with a big budget but I know it has coast $700 so far and I do'nt have a engine yet or any covering mat. or paint so if you are thinking about building a SR-9 take that in to consideration.when I get to the end of this build I will list all expences the one thing I will most likly up grade later is my recever. If you build the cowl you want app tips and a second par of hands if posable I did mine 3AM so I did not have help but it would have been nice so far this kit has been fun but been thankful for build logs esp.twinwarbird he did a good job and posted alot of picts that all for now.

hello again finished the fire wall & saddle then temporarily fit fin, rudder, stab & elv.not going to glue them just yet this bird is going to get big fast.I mounted the landing gear but not TOP FLITE'S way Idid not spend the extra 50$ and buy a one piece unit.what I did was added 1/4 x 3/4 bass wood to each side of former #3 at bott w/epoxie inlayed 9 3/4"x 2"x 1/8" thick piece of aluminum screw it to the bass wood w/3/8" counter sunk screws; replaced the 1/4" x 2 1/2" x 6" balsa w/ply and mounted it w/6 3/4" cap head screws drilling through the aluminum then epoxie the landing gear rails in drill and tap 8x32x3/4"cap head screws through 1/8" aluminum. TOP FLITE does not! reccomend doing it this way, but there system is made to break away in a hard landing. I would rather have this part strong. I will do as mutch to the fus as I can before mounting the fin&stab so next is joiner box for the wing then the rest of the nose ribs ,skin, cowl, int & windshield. latest pic's shown tried to do vidieo but the type of file could not be up loaded. still hoping for some kind response from anyone out there who has any opion about any of this project...
