Here is a short article on what I call the "Mel Method" after learning this from RCGroups poster Melsailsnorth. Basically it is a method of bonding Kevlar fabric to an EPO or EPP foam plane using thin CA for the purpose of creating a skid plate or wing joiner that is darn near indestructible.

For those that really want to fly long distance, round cells could be in your future

So I got one set of three of the Panasonic 18650PF round cells, soldered them up and ran a pile of tests. I then built a 3S3P pack and you can see the build here:

How To - Build an 18650 Li-Ion Pack

Ready to wrap!

Pack complete and flight test successful! (see the Wiki for more information)

The set-up article linked below is a How-To for the Martinez/BruGi controllers. It includes information and code sources to be successful in getting this controller running smooth. (It does not include any information about using a nulled or hacked Alexmos firmware on these boards.)

The following is from a larger write-up on my wiki here:

You must use the older driver. 2.08.24, you can download it here:

1. Disconnect your internet to prevent Windows from auto fetching the latest driver (Keep it disconnected from the internet until the board is working correctly)
2. Go to device manager
3. Go to View and select "show all the hidden devices"
4. Expand "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" and "Ports (COM & LPT)"
5. Right click "USB Serial Converter" and select "Uninstall"
a. IMPORTANT! Also check the box "Delete the Driver software for this device"
6. Right click "USB Serial Port (COMx)" and select "Uninstall"
a. IMPORTANT! Also check the box "Delete the Driver software for this device"
7. Close all windows and re-start your system
8. Connect the board to USB and look for the warning that there is no driver for this device
9. Update with the driver that you have downloaded
(On some computers you may need to reboot the system)
10. Plug in the board, go to Device Manager and check to see the correct driver has been installed and the COM port is a number below 9

Once you have the driver installed you are ready to begin upgrading and tuning.
