Hi guys. I got sent this little ducted fan style drone, similar to other ones in other blog posts from others here only without a camera. Not too much to say really. It's quite easy to fly but I crashed it a lot, but because of the ducted fan style propellers it can take a lot of crashes and scrapes. I really think this style of propeller arrangement is perfect for FPV racing where you might get a lot of bumps and even be able to keep flying because it won't always been a catastrophic crash.
This is not an FPV quad, just a toy really, so I made this silly little video about it. It was quite fun making it, but you probably think it is too stupid.? I really like this style of micro quadcopter drone though so I hope I can try some better faster ones soon with an fpv camera!

Hi rcgroups people, Jonathan and I bought a DJI Phantom 4 Pro last week and I've been flying it as much as I can. The camera is much better than the older versions of the P4 and P3 I think. It still has some issues with the horizon not being straight though especially when it is very windy. For this video I tried to get close to lots of different types of details so you can see how good, or bad, the camera is at picking thinks up. I'm still a beginner so not an expert at all but when I look at the video from our Inspire with X5 camera I really can't see much difference, what do you think?

Hi everyone. This is my first full video with me flying and editing afterwards. I've had quite a bit of practice flying but still have a lot to learn I think? Please comment if you like my video, it is in the moors where the Bronte sisters lived, and definitely let me know if you have any tips for making better videos. Thank you.

First off, if anyone reads this, I want to say hello. My name is Bambi, which I know is a bit of a silly name to some, but hey. I'm working with Jonathan now, in place of Sara, and learning about drones. I did some of the flying for this computer model, but still have a lot to learn. It's very interesting and can't wait to learn more and make some nice videos. I hope this video is ok, mostly Jonathan talking but we made it together.

Just realized I haven't posted anything in here for a while, so here is our latest crazy video, launching fireworks from a drone! It was pretty crazy actually. We all had safety glasses over our eyes, but it was still pretty scary. We weren't sure if the rockets etc would make the drone, an old Yuneec q500 that we subject to all kinds of abuse, tip over or crash, but it didn't. We even did some of the flying over a river to try and catch some nice reflections.

We got all our drones out and did a bit of a crazy speed test with a radar gun. Hope some people like it!

We had a go at modifying a Yuneec q500 with a dropping mechanism and used it to make this video showing the results, dropping parachutes and deploying an rc plane, and more...

The DJI Phantom 4 allows you to record full hd at 120 fps, which it then makes into slow motion video at 30fps (29.97), 4x slower than reality, so we thought we'd go out and create some slo mo wave action at the beach.

Went a bit crazy with this one, driving all over the place to try the Phantom 4's active track function on lots of different moving objects.
It works best if there is a lot of contrast between what you are filming and the background, and prefers steady contant movement than sudden quick movements which it doesn't track very well at all. Still, it's the first time it's been used on a consumer drone like this, so expect it to get better in upcoming years.
Hope you like watching our video.

We went to Stanage Edge in the Peak District in the north of England. It was sunny when we set off but became really cloudy and grey when we got there, so I had the idea to try making a video in black and white, a bit meaningful or moody and sombre... still not sure if it worked or not?

This is the 3rd, and perhaps final, of our Phantom 4 vs Phantom 3 Pro videos. We decided to create a time lapse movie from photographs taken simultaneously by both Phantoms hovering next to each other.

The Phantom 4 certainly seems more stable when it's flying, so we wanted to see if time lapse photography comes out more stable or not from the P4. It was very windy and I'm not sure you can tell the difference in stability, if there is any difference?

We made a two part video comparing the new DJI Phantom 4 and our older DJI Phantom 3 Pro.

The first part compares the look and feel, showing close-ups of the drone itself, and in the second part we took them both out for a fly to see if the alleged camera tweak on the P4 really did make the images a bit sharper and clearer.

We've been sent some exclusive video from the Chinese drone company testing their prototype police drone. Not sure of this is exciting or a little bit scary?

We've been doing a few experiments with the Q500 4K lately, and this time it's all been about taking off from and landing on water. It was a bit hair raising at times, but definitely a laugh so long as you're not too worried about your Q!

We went to this place near Sheffield on the edge of the Peak District and found this reservoir with an unusual cascading water feature.

We made this video driving round town with the Yuneec Q500 4K on the roof of the car.
The advantage of using this over the steady grip is you can turn the camera on and off from inside the car with the radio as well as change the tilt angle. Also, because it's not flying, the battery in the drone lasts for ages, like hours!
I also had the radio charging from the car's 12v supply, which was needed after 2 hours driving around.

We went to a place called Roseberry Topping right near the border between North Yorkshire and County Durham in Northern England.
It's quite a dramatic looking rock you can see sticking up in the air for miles around.

It was quite windy by the time we got there but the P3 did all right mostly. It had a few camera shakes in places from the wind, which I've tried to remove with warp stabilizer in pp, which mostly worked but created a couple of strange effects on the sky in places... see if you can spot them.

This is my second video made at SkyTech 2016, a UAV expo in London. This one shows a selection of exhibitors and their thought on various drone tech, like thermal imaging, drone mapping, upgrading the DJI Inspire with FPV camera and choosing safe airspace to fly in.

We were at a drone exhibition called Skytech in London a few weeks ago. It was pretty small and mainly aimed at the commercial drone scene. However, Yuneec were there and I managed to get an interview with Dan Farren from Yuneec UK where he told me all about the upcoming Typhoon H. I've also added the specs from the brochure at the end of the video. Can't wait for this to be released so I can fly it!

We were working on a filming job in Hull (UK) this week that finished near to sunset on a sunny day so decided to stop at this amazing bridge on the way back so I could make this video. It was really cold, freezing actually, but the view was amazing.
