So I decided to start Flying some IMAC this year, I will be trying the Basic catagory to get my feet wet. I will also spend a day at the Judging school so I can get an idea of what they will be looking for. I am lucky enough to have several pilots around me that already fly IMAC so I will be spending some time with them as well. I will be flying my 55cc. EDGE 540t as my main plane with the 44"Extra 260 as my back up. So I have the 2013 pattern downloaded and have started spending time on the sticks in the shop on the sim. I should have it memorized in a week or so. This is the reason I got into RC flying, well this and Freestyle. I hope to meet as many of you I can when I attend the events. I posted some pics enjoy...It's off to IMAC....http://www.mini-iac.com/Default.aspx

The last plane I spent some time on this week is the Extre 260 by E-Flight. What can I say this thing is going to be one of the best planes in the hanger when it's all done. I picked up a few parts I needed to finish her up, so I am hopeing this next week I can work on it again. The wingspan is 43" and it calls for the park 480 series of motors. The over all weight should come in around 28-30oz. with the batt. I'll be running the 12" prop on it.

Well this plane is SO LITE it's increadible. All I have left on this one is the pushrods and it will be ready for it's maiden I hope this will be my indoor flyer and no wind outdoor. this will be great to fly around in the infield area, as well as any park. The ending weight should come in at about 6.0oz I plan on running it on 2s 500's with a 12amp ESC. with a 8x4 slow fly prop.

Well ok, This is the Lil' Banchee from Cermark. It needed some small repair to some of the monocote as well as installing the servos and power plant. so I am almost done with it and wanted to fly it as well this weekend. I went with a preaty powerful set up With the 2200kv as in most of the stuff I have, it should really rock and roll. Can't wait to fly her.

ModelFlight.com.au E-Flite Mini Edge 540 3D (1 min 42 sec)
Well I have been busy in the shop, I was able to set up a couple more planes. This one I Don't have a manual for it but I just used what I had int the shop to get her goinjg. All that is left on this one it a tail wheel. So I will maiden it this weekend and see how it flys. It seems to be preaty well built. When I got it it needed the landing gear put back in, as well as a power source. I went with a 2200kv and a 30amp ESC. with a 8x4.

Well here is the next plane I set up from my new pile of planes. It's a shock flier I think it's a indoor plane, but I fly it outside with no wind. I put a e-max 2822 with a 8" prop in it and run it on a 3s 500 it flies great.

As prommised my next plane I have set up is the Hot Rod mini from Hobby Lobby. As a large fomie it looks to be built preaty well. I plan on running a 3c 1.5lipo and a 10x4 prop on it. I did taxi it up and down my driveway and it seems to have plenty of power. I will maiden it with the X-Ray this weekend.

With my trip behind me, it's time to get back at it in the shop. Before I left a flying buddy gifted me a few planes, so I though this would be a good place to list them as I set em up. First up is the X-ray by Seagull models. It's a 39" electric with a park 450 I plan on using a 3s 2.2 to run it. I looks to be a great 3-D plane.

Well here's how it goes..I had to take a trip to help one of my daughters get accros the country to Ga. with her car, as she is moving (on base) with her hubby in the Army. So I drove with her as far as Fort Smith Ark, then rented a car and stayed in Poteau Ok, a few days to visit another daughter. While I was there sure enough a winter tornado broke out. Wow how exciting. So I drove to the top of the worlds highest Hill to watch. It hit about 50 miles from where I was. I posted some pics. Enjoy.
