yeah,it's early, but we got in a few flights today,Rich had a new fast wing which was awesome.I flew my trusty T-48 sport plane.
I built one of these waay back in 2003,it was electric powered (I used a brushed 480 on 8 cells. It flew but it was underpowered.I did like the fact that it was almost indestructo...& it flew decent & does all the usual aerobatics.
...fast forward to 2013 I've built another T-52,glow powered.I had it out yesterday for some early winter fun.Powered by an old OS 15 I had..the remainder of RC gear was stuff I had laying around.
Fun plane,it's covered in deep yellow Ultracote & green tape.AUW 2 lb.2ozs.

Flying together with clubmembers in the fall is always fun.
more fun-fly events and new planes for the 2012 season.
Over this past summer I have swapped several engines in the UPROAR..finally settleing on a Saito .50 as my fav.Easy to start..plenty of power and it's easier on the glow fuel.
Our club has held several fun fly-ins where we had fun..all perfectly safe also. Here are a few pics of 2011 planes & my fav bud pilots.

yes...after watching the guys in my club fly these Tower UPROARs I had to build one..an easybuild, even for slow me.
...it could be e-converted...if I try that I'll just build another...power it with 4A123 cells for about 450-500 watts.
...anyway,I've flown the glow UPROAR five times, still gotta fine tune the carb, but it's really a fun sport plane. You'll notice I mounted the engine with the cylinder horizontally...so the exhaust goes under the plane.Cleanup isn't too bad.
