Hey guys, I am making this thread for a few reasons. I just finished the build of my Skywalker and it flyies great! I am extremely eager and ready to install my FPV setup. I have a few questions before I start installing stuff.

- Landing gear
- Castle Ice 75 ESC
- Castle BEC (For Servos & FPV gear)
- Skywalker wooden canopy or RMRC’s version

FPV Setup:

- TeleFly OSD
- TeleFly Extension board (Current sensor & RSSI)
- FY-21AP
- A GoPro and a Flight Cam
- ChainLink Rx

Plane Antennas
- The stock Dipole antenna for the CL or a Turnstyle
- The stock Dipole antenna for the Tx or a Vee
- 2 GPS receivers (1 for the OSD and the other for the FY unit)

GroundStation
- Cheap eBay Tripod
- MyFlyDream Antenna Tracker (Larger tilt servo)
- Tuned Yagi antenna (1280)
- Lawmate Rx with Upgraded SAW filter
- Fatshark Dominators
- Phillips 9” monitor (Mounted with a bracket to Tripod)
- Video Splitter (Still choosing one)
- DVR (Still choosing one)
- Dx8 with original Chainlink and a Diamond antenna
- All ran off of a 3s 3.2amp Lipo

Here are some of my goals…I want to make custom shielded cables for all my necessary wires (Tx, OSD, Cam, GPS, ESC, Antenna?). I would like to place the wires inside the wings to keep it smooth and efficient. I want a pan and tilt pod for my Gopro and Flight cam. I want to keep my SW fairly light, super efficient and...Continue Reading

Hey guys, this is kind of a last minuet question but I am writing an essay for a school paper. (Finished)

I decided to write it on FPV but I needed to incorporate 2 other topics as well.

The first topic is about FPV and how we hobbyist use it on a recreational level
- Completed

The second topic is how People use it for aerial photography.
- Completed
The third topic is how it is used in the army (UAV's)
- Completed

The essay is due by 12AM midnight tonight Eastern Time

All I am asking for is some advice and tips on what I could write for the incomplete topics

Hey guys, I just started a new FPV thread.

It is identical to the "UK FPV thread" except it's for the FPV'ers in the U.S.

Check it Out!

Hey Guys! The other day I Just recieved all of my equipment from ReadyMadeRC! The list includes...

A 1.3GHz 800Mw Video Tx.
A 1.3GHz Video Rx
A Vee Antenna for the Tx.
A Optimized 8dbi Patch Antenna for the Rx.
2 3S 1100Mah Lipo's (1 for Rx & 1 for Tx)
FatShark Dominators.
A RMRC 700TVL CCD Camera.
A RMRC Kx171 CCD (420TVL).
A $15 Tripod that was purchased on eBay.

This is my first FPV setup, and I am pretty confident with my setup. I have a SW 1900mm that is still being built. I decided to stick all of the equipment on my E-Flite Apprentice.

Please Feel Free to Post any Ideas or tips on here to help me become a Better FPV Pilot. Let me know if I should do something differently or just give me your input!

I will be changing the GS battery to a larger one. Let me know what size I should look for. I am planning on using an Eagle Eye's Diversity with this Patch and a SkewPlaner antenna.

I am just trying to keep this setup simple until I become more advanced into the FPV world. No Diversity, Tracking or OSD

I appreciate your Time,
Jake.

Hi, I appreciate you taking your time to read this. This was my First ever onboard Flight with my GoPro HD. I am apologizing in advance for the unstable flight (I am still getting used to the weight of the camera) This was flow around 7PM eastern time so the sun was going down.

I have a few questions about my footage. As you can see when I am climbing, the ground gets a black/blurred color effect. Once I level out the camera focuses. I have seen many videos on YouTube of GoPros that equal out the color ranges just fine, eliminating this effect...Is their any setting I can change to keep it neutural between the changes so everything is clear? Exposure?

I was planning on using this setup for FPV (First Person View) but after reviewing this footage, I am unsure if it will work the way I had anticipated.

Please let me know if their is anything I can do to help with the color changes, I would greatly appreciate it!

Jake
