I have been away from the hobby for about 2 years now; and feel like I should say something as to why and what I have been up to.

I was 22 then, I'm 24 now. Two years. Two years and wings took not to the air, nor hull to the waves...

Back in mid March of 2014 I parted ways with my girlfriend of 4 years. For a month or two I was a total wreck. I lost about 50lbs in that time, dropping to just a hair over 200lbs at my 6'2". Through great effort on the part of my close circle of friends I made it back to functional, I owe them a very great deal. I now know who is in my pack, so to speak.

Around that time I finally decided to start to make my own bow. I have been shooting since I was about 8 or so, regularly the last two years, and very regularly (thanks to an old friend, more on that later) this summer. I'm happy to say I have made two shootable bows over this summer, one a maple at about 20lbs for my friend Maria, and another from oak at about 75-80lbs for myself. Well, yesterday was my high school graduation! According to a person with too much time on his hands (my dad) there were 108 graduates out of roughtly 500 students in the whole school (not to shabby, no?). The weather for the day started-out crappy, with thunderstorms and high temps with even higher humidity. Once 3pm rolled around it had cleared off, but thunderstorms were threatening on the horrizon; luckily they held off, leaving the courtyard for open for photo-ops, and a beautifull night.

Here are some pics of me, and me with my firends (im sure my friends have more, which they will post on their blogs all across the internets) so more to come (probably, and maybe a slide show on youtube with music?)!

Congradulations to all the fellow members of the class of 2009 nationwide!
