This is a refurbishment of a 1920ís British Excise and Customs Launch made from Vic Smead plans.

This model was made in 1973 by a Gent in England.

The model was found recently on Ebay UK, purchased and shipped here to the U.S.A.

It is well made, but sheís well worn and is in need of refurbishment and an upgrade ( without excessively compromising the original builders hard work ).

In this job the decking was stripped and re-varnished, the rope fenders will be replaced where needed, the motor and coupling will be replaced and electronics put in.

Pilot house windows will be replaced.

Hull will be sanded, false rivets added and painted in the accurate colors.

Trying to make it presentable for an event coming up Soon at Spreckels Lake in San Francisco, Ca.

The goal is to upgrade the modelís electronics to current day technology , make sure itís structurally sound and that it stays dry inside.

I donít want to change any of the modelís exterior, itís in Great shape !...Continue Reading
