Happy New Year everyone.

Ok - so here we go - my first build log. My apologies if it's not up to the same standard as some of you veterans

I purchased one of these CMPro Pilatus PC-9 aircraft.

Being an ex Aussie Airforce Avionics Technician and an ex-pat Aussie living in Canada I couldn't resist the flying Kangaroo roundel, but it appears there's no build thread or reviews on it that I can find. So I decided to start one of my own.

I'm expecting the kit to be delivered next week so if anyone is interested in following along let me know.

All comments, advice and tips are always welcome.

Links to the manufactures specs are available here

I'll be making this one electric, mostly using parts I already have. Likely setup will be as follows (but I'll reserve the final decision until I inspect the kit and weigh everything).

Turnigy 63-54 (250Kv) outrunner
2x 5S 3600mAH in series for 10S
Turnigy K-Force HV ESC (120A)
16 x 8 three bladed prop

This setup should provide around 7500g thrust at 65amps and about 6-7 minutes flying time. More than enough I would think considering the published flying weight is around 5.0kg. Maybe too much?

More info to come once the aircraft arrives.

I'll do my best to keep it detailed and informative but a word of warning - it might be a slow build as (like most of us) I don't get a lot of time to work on my hobbies

Anyway, like I said...if you're interested...
