I love the Sig kits, you can build them up fast and the are so easy to get in the air.
Whenever I see a Kadet or any form(manily kits) I fall in love, they are so versitile and you can do so much with them. I have flow a "Special K" it's just a Kadet.......with a 16 foot wingspan and has a 69cc gasser on the front, I got this kit on mine on Monday and I have the right wing all built and the left wing almost done. Here are some pictures, Let me know what you think of my building skills this is only my 2nd kit that i have built...let me know
I finally got it! I have the right wing build and the glue is drying as we speak, I think that I will start the left wing tomorrow, I can't complain with the price, The kit NIP, a enya 45 and 2 15 foot rolls of covering for 35 bucks
I have basically been giving a 1/4 scale BUSA 1/4 scale j-3 cub. Here is the story.
I got onto Creigs list to see what/who was selling planes here in Maine. I ran over a garage sale ad and the guy who was selling them had about 25 planes inside he garage and he was letting them sell for seriously cheap (He had a 1.4 scale chistian eagle with a super tiger 2500 that he sold for $50) But any way, he was selling anything from small park-flyer sized planes to 1/4 scales. So he has a Ultra Sport 40 (the ARF) that I noticed that it had everything minus the engine for 30 dollars. So I already had one but I figured that I would give him a call to see if I could get some more info on the Ultra sport. He picked up and I asked him the questions that I had.
I was on the phone with him for about 1 hour talking about planes, flying,a dn just rambling on, I was about to get off the phone with him when he asked the question.... "So do you have any 1/4 scale classic planes?" I said no but I would like to find one but I don't think that I had the space or money. I asked what he had in mind. He told me htat in his basement their where still about 17 planes that he planned on not selling and he told me that in the back corner stuffed way up their was a BUSA 1/4 scale j-3 Cub. So then I asked him. whats the condition like? he told me that it was build flown so much that the covering was bad, so they stirpped the fuse and left the wings covered, and that was where it sat.
