I am a 47 y.o. guy, always interested in planes and things flying. Served conscription in the air force, mobile forces (ground defense).
Started RC in 2014. First with 2x DJI Phantom 2 Vision+, both had manufacturing defects, but worked pretty good, and I liked them.
Then I bought a Walkera X350 Pro as a replacement. This got me into tinkering, as I needed OSD, I needed a better camera and thus transmitter as the included Walkera iLook+ was worse than my first digital camera, the Agfa ePhoto 307 from 1997.
Glad I got the Devo 10 with the X350 Pro, which I run with deviationTX firmware.
Got a small Hubsan clone for subscribing to a magazine, and has the parts for a F550 clone with APM 2.6. Will be cheaper than the X350 Pro. And with the wind here, I consider it a good idea to go a bit larger.
Here in Demark we have a 7kg max takeoff weight unless we want to be restricted to approved flying fields. For now, I have no plans to go that big. Unfortunately we also do have a 100 meter max altitude (planes can go down to 150 meters).
Flying is great, but so is tinkering. Flying is for fun, but also for making good photos and/or video.
