For the last 3 weeks, I have been slowly working on the Ritewing Z2. I will be using it for mid range FPV. Here are a few pics of where I am.

Hey guys, here is my current setup (video of it in detail below). It is an easystar with a 2000kv brushless set up, 2600mah battery for control, and 1000mah battery for video. Will probably bring those two into one battery soon...maybe..what do you think?

It has :
EZUHF diversity reciever with Sander Style antennas (i made them
Lawmate 500mw tx and vee antenna for video (patch on recieving end)
CE OSD for display (wish i had the EZOSD )

My boss took this picture today of it....

a side note update on my new FPV set up. All equipment came in, and I successfully tested the ground range (at full power) of my EZUHF set up. I used the trainer port of the 9cap, and made my own sander style antennas. On the tx, I have the nagoya antenna.

My range was great for 2.8 miles, I reached a huge hill at that distance, so I am not sure how much further I Could have gone. the set up couldnt have went better.

I will post more data as it becomes available...

I made a terrible mistake.... I decided to spend most of my time researching FPV gear, RF theory, antennuation and propogation patterns for the equipment I would be using, and LESS time looking into how to properly install a servo arm. So, now I have an incredible 2km to 3km video system that has effectively found it's way into a tree...twice...because of my inability to install a servo properly.

So from here on out, I will be posting what I have and where I am going all from a Newbies perspective...I think if other newbies can see me fail, they can get the benefit without the cost of the planes...

Here is the plane, as it currently looks. I have flown it twice since this pic, but like i said, I lost control because of the way I installed the aileron servos. stupid me

The next 3 things that I will be doing, and I will edit this post with pics as I do it, changing my current 2.4 system out for a ezuhf LRS from future hobbies. fiber taping the wings to make them more stiff and durable thanks @ssassen and finally, upgrading the control arms and push rods from all of the servos to DuBro instead of the crappy ones that came with the version 1.5 kit from Bevrc.

PLEASE post suggestions, and any issues you see. I will do a better job with posting pictures on here in the next post.
