Hi there.just test flew the scanner today. All i can say is i would recommend it to any non begginer in a heart beat. Taking off takes a bit more than 25-30m And you may need to upsize the wheels to 3 1/2 inches if flying off of a rough field. Flying on low rates gave me more than enough aurthority. I easily doing loops, inverted, immelman turns and that on third flight. Landing is as simple as cutting the throttle and letting her glide in and a flair at the end. She also glides like a dream, i had to dead stick a landing as it didnt seem as though the engine was slowing down to an idle. I flew about three or four circiuts on no throttle, so either it has an amazing glide rate or the engine wasnt doing something right
The os 46 efx max engine provided more than enough power for it as i had a ball with some fast low passes. The wind was gusting at what one of the fellas reckoned was 25 knots and he reckoned i was gutsy flying in it. It wasnt that much more than what i usually fly in or learnt to fly in so it was a breeze (no pun intended
). All in all it is a great plane and cant recommend it enough.
P.S. i didnt assemble the plane as i bought it second hand
