eeeeeeeHaaa! SHE FLIES! took the Phantom over to a very tall grassy field for the first flights just in case I needed some cushion for any mishaps...glad I did, first launch I didnt give it quite enough power because I was leery of torque rolling and she came down pretty softly in the hay, but the grass knocked the little wing horns off
...next launch I gave her just a touch over half throttle and away she went, straight out, had my rates set at 75% and clicked in a touch of up elevator as she wanted to drift down, and she was flying very nicely, very stable. I opened the throttle a couple times and backed off to just under 1/2, slows down really nice with plenty of control, at higher speeds I will need to set my rates down to 50-55% to keep from over controlling. the Phantom is taileron only and I have 2" of control surface per stab witch is perfect for cruising speed...a little touchy full out (as expected)
unfortunately I do not have any in flight pics yet... my daughters last day of school was yesterday and they were sleeping in, so I had no photographer today but I shall endeavor to get some pics or video soon, just discovered my cam does have video capabilities, just needs a memory stick to hold them
so till the next chance I get, I'll post pics or video...hopefully
