This was my first attempt at flying low (low for me) with the Skywalker FPV. The Skywalker does this fairly well, I was at 3/4 throttle on 3S 5000mah lipo for most of the flight, was doing about 50mph. I used Imovie on a mac to edit the HD GoPro video which was the first time I used that software.

I finally had my maiden for my Skywalker today. I finally was half way warm today and little wind. It handles very nice, really stable. It was kinda strange because it takes a while to turn the thing. Next I will fine tune the FY20A to get it to keep it stabilized and then work on the FPV video portion.

I had the maiden flight of my F-14 scratch built depron plane. It was sweet! With the Super Mega jet from Greyson Hobby it had unlimited vertical. It was 20 deg when I flew it so I was ready to land and get warm but can't wait for some nice weather to get some more flights in.

I just ordered the Dragon Link for my Skywalker. I hope to get it in 4-6 weeks. I also found a JR 9303 on the classifieds that is the module type that I will use with the Dragon Link. After a lot research on this board I think it is a good option. I already have a JR 9503 for my 2.4 stuff and I love it and I am already familiar with the programing. The big advantage for me to go with the JR versus the Futaba 9C is that 9th PPM channel you get with the JR. All Futaba's only have 8 ppm channels and I need 9 for my current setup. I could probably get by with 8 but why? I plan to have the following channel controls:

Throttle
Rudder
Aileron
Elevator
Flaps
Pan
Tilt
OSD menu switch
FY20 switch

Yep, that's 9, Futaba radio would be one short.

I currently have my T-28 setup as my FPV platform and it is not up to the task for me. I have flown it out to 4200' on 2.4 using a JR921 receiver with 2 satelites attached. I just don't feel comfortable on 2.4 and want to go farther so I went the DL route. I hope it works as good as advertised.

I am currently working on my Skywalker that I got from my wife for X-mas(how did she know!). I have the wing epoxied together as one piece. I decided to cut in the flaps and used some long lead Horrizon Hobby servos I had in the spare parts bin for my T-28. I decided to put the VTX and the V-antenna out on the wing tip to minimize interference with the contol link.

Waiting on the following to complete:

-65HB servos
-Scorpoin SII-3014-1220 motor

Below are completed sections of the wings showing the flaps installation. Also a picture of the tail reinforcing with carbon fiber in the vertical stab. I also show the access door for the electronics bay. I used a magnet and epoxied in a little zip tie for a "pull" to open the door.
