I bought a built-but-never-flown Hangar 9 Tiger Moth, and converted it to electric power.

Yesterday I flew it for the first time.

One of my models that I put together last year, I flew it today at our club in beautiful weather.

Music is played by me (all instruments, and recorded on my ipad with the Garage Band app. The song is played in the key of G instead of E, which is easier for me.

Here are a few shots of some of my planes at a mini-float-fly, just east of Toronto.

Shown are my 1/5 scale Piper Cub, a Polaris XL delta wing, and my Multiplex Twinstar.

I sold my wonderful Dave Patrick Clipped-wing Super Cub, and so I am changing my avatar to show a model that I currently own.

A few guys in our club went float flying at the south east end of Toronto.

Heavy winds were coming straight for us so the best photos were taken as the planes turned and flew away from us.

A fun model airplane, won Best Sport Plane award at the 2013 Kingston Electric Fun Fly.

It flies great!

Also flew my brushless-powered Multiplex Twinstar from water.

I've been flying my RCGuys Piper Cherokee for a few weeks now, and it's really a terrific model. The assembly was straight-forward and the electric motor installation was easy. The model flies extremely stable, and takeoffs and landings are within the skill of most sport flyers.

My model weighs about 20 pounds, and I have flown it on 12 5000mah lipo cells and on 10 5000mah lipo cell, and I can't tell the difference. Most flying is done at about 50 to 60% of throttle. The flaps make landing easier.

My flights last about 6 minutes, but I could easily fly for 10 minutes on one charge. It's a great airplane, and I'm glad I bought it.

The photos are from the 2013 Kingston Electric Fun Fly, where this was the biggest model at the event.
