I don't know if anyone has used the Top Securing Foam piece from the Carrying Box for this model but, I use it for inserting and removing the battery.
All I do is flip this top piece upside down on a secure surface and place the model upside down with it to keep it from being damaged such as paint chip or other undesirable issue.

Hello good people,
Just like to say that this morning (Sunday, August 25th, 2013) I met up with a buddy at the local School Band Practice Concrete Surface, we affectionately call EDWARDS because of its vast and smooth like surface that looks just like a vast test bed to take the small RC Airplanes for test flights
Setup was very quick as I used my 3 year old Spektrum DX7 Transmitter and proceeded to bind the MIG-15 then, made sure all surfaces moved in the appropriate manner and direction. I could hear the new technology taking over to make the flight more enjoyable and took the model to the surface for its maiden flight.
I allowed lots of room and distance for the model to gain airspeed using the landing gear wheels and it took off without too much UP Elevator input (note the nose wheel gear a little taller than the main gear). Anyway, the model was a baby doll in the air and I quickly throttle down to almost 1/2 and it performed almost all the acrobatic moves except loops as for loops I had to increase almost to 3/4 and they were just majestic.
After 4 minutes tooling around, I lined her up for a landing and throttled down to 1/4 throttle and it just glided and glided with a little too much airspeed, however, I was committed for landing and it bounced gently twice and the third contact it finally settled in and rolled out very scale like.
I believe that I have found my new joy. I have never liked EDF's until this one!

I bought a lightly used Lanyu Tailblazer ARF from a good friend, David C., from Brooksville, Florida last week and finally came around to get a "New" AR400 Spektrum Receiver and all systems a go!
The model exhibited LOTS of Power and I can't wait to go and fly it!!!

Okay gals and guys!
Got a buddy to Video Record my Park Zone P-47 Thunderbolt Flight from early this morning and please note, it was flown with a partially Charged Lithium Polymer (12.29 Volts instead of the nominal 12.54 Volts). Additionally, this is using the Park Zone 480 and the Durafly 4-blade (10.25in diameter) propeller.
Oh yes, the next best thing for going slower is the fantastic in-flight shots (Pictures) that can result without the need for an expensive lens or fast speed shutter setting.

Hello Good People,
It has been perhaps over 3 years that I have not heard nor seen a very nice RC Club member by the name of Bill Lites from Titusville, Florida. It was so nice to see him again on Monday morning at the RC Club field to show him some models that I am trying to get rid of since he is looking for some smaller Electric Models.
Bill is an experienced RC Airplane Flyer and accomplished Modeler so, he is looking for something a little more aerobatic and mentioned the Park Zone T-28 Trojan. Since we had a little issue in getting a-hold of each other a few weeks past and I gave away my original Park Zone T-28 "Navy" Trojan and another Airframe of the same model to another very nice friend Mark S.
Well, as soon as Mark heard that Bill was looking for a Park Zone T-28, he asked me to come over his house and he handed me my former Park Zone T-28 Trojan so, I can refurbish it and give it to Bill. Very nice of Mark!
Well, upon inspection of the FUSE from my former Park Zone T-28, it was shocking at best since I had to remove the FIREWALL to get at the Glued in Nose Wheel Steering Arm. My last repair was trying to attempt to glue a crack where the Nose Wheel Gear went right though the Bottom center of the Firewall and no matter what you did and if the landings were not perfect the Nose Wheel Gear wire continued to pass through again and again. Hello!
Wanted to share my quest in repairing a Balancing Plug that got pulled during a Splash down at a Lake adjacent to my RC Club field. On splash down the model exerted G forces that the battery shifted and slightly pulled on one two of the wires on the balancing Harness.
The Setup:
Opened up the Pulled Wire Receptacle:
Trimmed the Insulation and Tinning on the pulled Balance Wire:

Hello good people!
This Lever is a Chevy's Gasoline Peddle on a 2008 Blazer! Just look what is controlling your Life, a small Sensor that sends position information to the computer. It just so happens that my good Friend Pete Figueroa was test driving the vehicle and this part finally exhibited a HARD FAILURE instead of the infrequent manner that the owner of vehicle was describing. Needless to say, the vehicle just completely locked up and the Engine Stopped leaving the vehicle dead in the middle of the road. It is just great news that the Throttle did not get stuck wide open. This is why, I do not get rid of my trusted 1992 Toyota Camry with the Throttle Cable that directly opens the throttle body.
Why? Because I have had ZERO issues with the older style Throttle "Cable" and my Toyota Camry has just turned 435,000 miles (Engine never has been overhauled ! ). If the throttle "Cable" fails then, the spring in the Throttle Body closes the butterfly valve in the throttle body and the engine settles to idle setting!

Flew my beloved Park Zone T-28D "Airforce" for several flights until I could not stand the heat in Central Florida today. It was a sizzling 96 degrees in the shade at high Noon today and with lots of humid conditions that made it just unbearable.
On my last landing the timer alarm was going off and the wind was picking up and I came in too slow and the freaking UP Elevator just was not enough and the model did not flair like it was supposed to. Well, the nose wheel gear was the first to touch down and I could hear that swivel plastic part snap where I was standing!
Tonight, I worked on my Trojan once again and took out the busted swivel arm for the Nose Wheel Steering and used a careful amount of Gorilla Glue to get the two broken halves together. Since the cure time was a few hours, I just went to my Hobby Draw and took out a brand new part and continued working and the installation was super easy since I have replaced and repaired this part many times!
Again, if you recall, I had to replace the Rudder Servo due to the Stock Park Zone servo got jammed due to the water impact from last week and the Hitec HS-82MG was installed....and for that adventure you can view it at:

Mark S., a good buddy of mine designed and scratched built one heck of a nice Project to depict the CARTOON Character of DUSTY from the new Disney PLANES movie that was released yesterday (Friday, August 9th, 2013).
In record time, Mark took a grand total of Four (4) days to make this creation and did so, with the skill, care, and without any plans to make a decent size RC Flying Airplane of DUSTY.
I asked permission from Mark to place as much information in my Blog to capture this nice Project since I have enjoyed it and I hope you all will as well. I was present for the Maiden Flight and it was magical watching this RC airplane "CARTOON" Model fly off from ground with excellent manners and rock solid characteristics.
A few pictures of his build process and what Mark had to work with....

I finally got to my beloved Park Zone T-28D "Airforce" Trojan and repaired / replaced a few items after the incident Lake Crash at my RC Club Last week.

Well, it turns out that the Stock Park Zone Rudder Servo got defective on impact with the water as it seems it Swan Dive and the Rudder & Nose Wheel Steering took a good hit with the water.
No worries, I found a Hitec HS-82MG) and all is okay.
The Motor did get damage and for the life of me, I just could not get the retaining ring at the End Bell of the motor? I tried and to no success, the set screw on the Retaining Ring just did not want to turn? I just wanted to see if I could open up the Stock (Initially that came with the model) and see what could be causing the noise. I found a slightly used and newer version of the Park Zone 480 (960Kv) Brushless motor in my Hobby Bin so, I wasted no more time with the old and damaged motor.

Hello gals & guys!
I have owned and flown my Park Zone Radian (first edition with just rudder and elevator) for over 3 years now and I have had only one fly away due to push rods being rusted and stuck and could not get it back, certainly I was down range way out (Pilot Error and Hardware issue).
Today was a massive Pilot Error on my part as I was sitting with the guys in the shade and enjoying my Radian up about 150 feet while the others were even higher with different powered gliders and not necessarily the Park Zone Radian like mine.
It was a total Brain fart on my part thinking as I sat there and enjoying it so much that I wanted to take a picture of us all with my HTC Vivid smart phone and did so, but, the 2nd time I removed my eyes away from the freaking model and then, returned to control it, I just NO LONGER could find it in the sky!
Of course, I calmly got off the chair and looked and looked around while pretending to control my model with my Transmitter (I was too ashamed to even say anything) I slipped away and got into my car and left to find my beloved Radian with upgraded Hitec HS-65's and the newest Lithium Polymer battery from my supply.
After at least 40 minutes of searching towards the West at adjacent fields and communities along with businesses, I came back empty handed and decided to just accept my loss of this fine RC Airplane Model.
While coming back, I whispered a short PRAYER asking the Lord to please help me find this fine RC Airplane...Continue Reading

My trusted Mechanical and Family Friend placed this awesome project back to life, one VW Dune Buggy with a 1.6 Liter 4-cyclider Air-Cooled Gasoline Engine and it was awesome to watch it come back to life!

Just to give you all some insight, about two years ago I did my own Transmission Service which included dropping the Transmission Pan and replacing the Metal Filter Element.
One thing that I had forgotten was that most of the Old Transmission Fluid is still within the Front Pump and most especially the Torque Converter! Well, I had good intentions to revisit and drop the pan again to at least make a good job of removing all of the old Fluid after a few miles down the road. Well, being that it was not the easiest job I let it go and well, about three weeks ago the Shuddering started on OVER DRIVE and anytime I encountered a slight hill and gently increase throttle without having the OVER DRIVE disengage, an awful "SHUDDER" was felt throughout the car and at times it was so bad that it SHUDDER transferred into the steering wheel.
The only way it went away was to quickly depress the throttle for the OVER DRIVE to disengage and all was good again.
Make a long story short, I found the Transmission fluid rather low right about the time this SHUDDERING started and while the Engine was running and in PARK the dip stick showed very little fluid so, I added one quart and this SHUDDERING disappeared.
A few weeks past and it again appeared its UGLY head (SHUDDERING) once again when temperatures in Central Florida came close to 100 degrees F. Therefore, I decided to search for some documentation on this condition and found this...
