I had to replace a sticking servo in my mCX S300 today. I don't have a precision tip for my soldering iron (EDIT: I have one now, yay!) so I didn't want to work on the board directly with my iron and shaky hands.
Solution: just snip the old servo's wires leaving the soldered ends still on the board, and solder the cut ends to the new servo's wires... easy as pie. Done

Repaired an mSR skid mount with a small screw, Shoe Goo and heat shrink tube. I did the same thing to my mCX2 quite some time ago and have never broken it since 
I use Shoe Goo for this type of repair because it's more flexible than CA and therefore less likely to cause another break directly beside the repair in another crash. Just needs to be trimmed up a bit underneath by the screw head and maybe painted black.
