If you've followed the threads on the Hitec X4 Micro AC/DC charger, folks are pretty happy except that stupid "MX" connector is NOT what everyone thinks it is! It is NOT the Molex Picoblade that matches all your 1s gum-stick style Lipos. It's actually a JST-ZH series, which NO ONE ON THE PLANET uses for lipos. Colossal mistake by Hitec, IMO.

I sell a series of cables/connectors/pigtails/converters for this exact issue on my site:

http://www.rc-connectors.com/index.p...ndex&cPath=118

Specifically, here is an adapter that lets you plug your standard 1S gum-stick style lipos into that plug on the Hitec, and it won't deform or ruin your lipo:

http://www.rc-connectors.com/index.p...roducts_id=487

You can now choose your length anywhere from 1.25" to 20", long enough at the far end for charging in lipo bags.

Thanks,

Glenn

The site was back up on February 27. Then I had to leave again on business, so the site was shut down from March 5th thru March 13th.

The site is now up again and will remain so for the next couple months (no business trips for a while).

Thanks,

Glenn

I'm putting this here more for myself as anyone else, but as is standard RCG protocol it's here for everyone!

RC-Eye-One battery testing. Did this so I could figure out which of my own 2S batteries can handle this little quad, which is lots of fun.

All this testing was with a big fat 2S 850mAh 40+C battery providing power, thru a good ammeter. My RC-Eye-One was permanently tethered to the pool table with a giant 3S 2200mAh battery strapped to its belly. It never moved (thank god), but on expert mode and full throttle I was a little worried, that thing makes a big racket. The only thing I was concerned with was handling maximum amps for a few seconds.

Basic/beginner mode - 2.8A (at full throttle)
middle mode - 3.6A (ditto)
expert mode - 5.0A (ditto)

So a ~300mAh pack like they provide needs 10C bursts at the minimum, and 16-17C bursts at the highest. YMMV

Due to customer requests I now carry an extended line of Shrink Wrap.

From 3/64ths all the way up to 1/2" available in Red, Black and White.

http://www.rc-connectors.com/index.p...index&cPath=83

Also, I now have the super tiny .8mm shrink ( 1/32" ) similar to what Parkzone uses for making control rods (carbon rod to metal z-bends).

People seem to be gathering up quantities of the little Losi-T/Walkera 1S batteries, and want other uses for them.

So this adapter takes two of them in Serial and makes it just like the new standardized 2S UMX connector.

New adapter can be found here: Losi-T , Walkera, and micro quad battery parts here on RC-Connectors.com

A new/tiny altimeter has hit the market, made by Fly-Dream and resold by HK and others...

Flydream Altimeter

HobbyKing Altimeter

And folks have asked me for connectors that match, to power it via an on-board lipo, etc.

So I've got a whole new section on the site:

RC-Connectors Altimeter parts

Thanks to those that suggested the new items...

Well this summer has been busy - the Eflite Blade 130X hit the market and now there's a whole new swarm of people that want adapters...

I've added a new section to the RC-Connectors.com site just for Blade 130X related products...

http://www.rc-connectors.com/index.p...ndex&cPath=101

AND we've added a new adapter, useful on any plane or heli that uses the new JST-PH 3-pin plugs for the small 2S batteries.

It has an Align style lipo balance tap (3 pins, JST-XH, Female) to plug onto your battery, with short wires to a JST-PH 3-pin male plug. Perfect for your UMX Beast, Beast 3D, Stryker 180, HyperTaxi, Blade 130X, and others.

Folks are now looking to charge mid-range quantities of the popular 2S UMX packs - so these new products are now online at RC-Connectors.com!

Now you can charge up to 4 UMX Beast/Sbach/Stryker batteries (like the EFLB1202S20, HK N120.2S.25, HK N180.2S.25, etc) in parallel.

4 female connectors in parallel to a JST-XH balance connector, plus +/- leads to standard 4mm banana jacks.

Also available with just pigtails instead of the banana jacks, to put on your own T-Style Deans plugs or EC3, EC5, whatever your choice.

Now available at http://www.rc-connectors.com

RC-Connectors.com now has more high-volume charging solutions...

We've had an 8xBeast female adapter for a while but it had no +/- taps for main power.

Now they're available with just pigtails, or banana jacks.

Available here at RC-Connectors.com w/pigtails

Here with banana jacks

For you folks with a "Great Planes 30mm Brushless Micro EDF F-86 Sabre" in hand or on order, I now have a new adapter, by request from a customer.

This will let you use one of your existing 2S JST-male batteries with the GP Micro F-86.

JST-Female to minideans, with the positive line exposed. (I think this is backwards, the negative should be exposed.)

Available here:

http://www.rc-connectors.com/index.p...roducts_id=359

I will also have one soon for all your Parkzone/Horizon 2S batteries (Beast, Sbach, Mig-15, Stryker 180, etc)

Thanks,

Glenn

Rumor is that some of the new AS3X boards can handle 3S. So customers are now asking for an adapter to use 3 standard 1S batteries in series.

So here's a new product:

http://www.rc-connectors.com/index.p...roducts_id=356

Three standard Female 1S connectors in series, plugged into a UMX Beast Male connector.

USE AT OWN RISK - you take a good chance of destroying your brick!

At the suggestion of a few customers, we now have those odd little 1S lipo battery connectors that Walkera uses on some of their helis, and on Losi micro trucks/truggy/buggy

Both sides (M/F) are available in kit form, or with 28 or 26 gauge wires.

Also available are the ubiquitous red JST connectors. Of course you can get them at a thousand places but again some folks were asking for them. The main thing to realize is that I can use them to make any custom charging or flying adapter you can think of.

Find all of the above over at http://www.rc-connectors.com
