A couple of months ago I found a story on Hackaday (and later on other places too) about programming ATtiny processors through Arduino. I thought that it would be nice to have this in a form of a shield. Now this product has become reality and it does even more than programming ATtiny processors. A collobaration between Flyton and myself resulted in a shield that makes it possible to program ATtiny45/85 processors, various Atmel ATmega processors (168/328/44/48) and it can even be used as a STK-500 programmer.

For more information see: http://flytron.com/open-source-hardw...r-arduino.html

If you think an Arduino is too much for your DIY project, consider using an ATtiny45 or ATtiny85.

Looking forward to hear what you think!

Before Hobbyking deactived the Swarm functionality you had to organise a group of at least 6 people that wanted to buy the same item and got a rebate for a specific product. It's totally different now. The idea is as follows:
  • buy the items you want or need
  • after your order is complete you go to your account page (see 'View my account' image on main page of Hobbyking.com) and click on the link where you can check your orders
  • as long as your order has the status processing and is not older than 14 days, you will see a blue buddy icon behind the status of each product you bought (Please note: not all products are eligable for Swarm)
  • click the blue buddy icon and you will be presented a, so called, 'buddy code' that you can share with your 'buddies'. You can share your buddy codes with the world here: http://hk.rc-international.info/swarm or on forums.
  • If one or more of your buddies buy the same item and use the same buddy code, they will get an instant rebate of a certain percentage for that product with that order and you are refunded in the form of store credit. This credit can be used with your next order.
It is important to know that if you want to make use of someone elses Buddy Codes, then you have to log in to the Hobbyking website first. After that you can make use of buddy links people post on forums, blogs and our buddy code collection site.
If you want to buy something and want to see if someone else already posted a buddy code for that item,...Continue Reading

As many of you know, Hobbyking has not only a warehouse in Hongkong, but also in various continents all over the world. For Europe there is a warehouse in Germany and there are warehouses serving the United States and Australia.

To find products in those specific warehouses, you have to go to a few pages of around 40 products each.

I have made a website that makes it easy to find what you are looking for, just by selecting the region you are in and open up the category that you expect the product to be in.

See here for more information: http://hk.rc-international.info

The website shows estimate prices, for your best price, click on the product link and you will be forwarded to the Hobbyking product page.

Stock levels and prices are updated once a day.
