I run an small company specializing RC-scale aeroplanes of planes designed in Finland (www.iwaru.fi). Some time ago I designed an RC version of PIK-18 Sytky, an plane built here in late 50's. Then I scaled it down to Peanut-scale and it went to shop as an short kit.

As an Christmas Present to free flight fans I decided to release the plan of that kit into free download category. I have some other plans available for free download, this is the only one in free flight.

Steer your browser to this address for rare treat ... http://www.iwaru.fi/sytky-peanut.html

Flight video of plane built by Mr. Tapio Linkosalo.
Peanut Sytky (1 min 18 sec)

ps : I used to build Peck Polymer Peanut's in good old days and I still have fond memories of those kits. I Think that this is just giving something to support good hobbies

And this time it was not maiden flight. It was maiden sail. I guess that it is acceptable to do this as it was sail boat. Normally I do only maidens for Sail planes..

I have forgotten to add note of next build log progessing...

Plane is Vinka L-70 Miltrainer. And for trivial pursuit hobbyists, Vinka means cold, northerly wind.

I ran out of aluminium skids for Harakka II-kits and visited local university protoshop for more skids... I just had to take photo of machine they used to cut alu-parts for me.

Think that this is most extreme machine to cut kit parts... Luckily balsa & plywood parts are cut with laser.

I would like to present an new product for your viewing pleasure. It is joint project with my 18yrs. daughter, Annie and me. Together we designed and built prototype for 1/3 Deck Chair suitable for scale glider pilots relaxing after long flights.

It has been flight-tested using AH Pilots 1/3 pilots, they seem to like it. Although that red-shirt-guy seems as grim as always. He is tough guy to please. Just see pics below..

Chair kit is quite complete, includes everything to get it up and running. You provide only screwdriver and glue. No cutting or drilling needed. It even has instructions. Fabric part and packaging are done by Annie.

As I want to teach Annie ways of life I am directing all the proceedings of this product to her holiday fund. So this is an product which is in some strange way socially conscious. The idea is to show that if you do something, there is an possibility of getting something.

Interested? Do not wait any longer, just direct Your browser to here and enjoy our superfast delivery times.

I guess that finetuning devprof- & devfus-stages of PIK-12 are done. It's time to move from CAE to CAD. Whewww! That was task. In particular, the inner wing panels which have negative arrow-form contained 15 spars (or hollows, not including lightening holes). That's plenty.

Done are:
1. Fuz design in devfus
2. Wing panels inner & outer in devprof, including aileron design
3. Rudd design in devprof
4. Elev design in devprof

I have already done most of fuz formers, tailpost, rudder & elevator design in CAD, but finalizing fuz-wing-attachement-points required finalizing wing design.

From this on it's only 'clickety-clack' of mouse & checking & checking & checking. No design anymore. Just implementing drawings (7 in total)

This is monster plane, 5m span, fuz height is 0,45m, rudd ws is 1,2m. Typical wing thickness is 55mm.
